Insomnia cure.Overall though, how boring was that game of footy for an apparent finals game of footy.
Geelong are BORINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Insomnia cure.
This is probably how the AFL engineer their preferred results, most likely for $$$ reasons. Subtle and sly; easier to be obscured for the public following. This was the case in the vast majority of our games too where we lost the count really severely most games. It was usually one ump that did the hatchet job.I don't actually think Razor and Meredith have been too bad, but umpire 1 (is it Donlon) has been Geelongs 23rd man.
Current final 8 system 2000-2020I know it won’t happen but I think the AFL need to rethink the final 8. Teams finishing 7th and 8th quite often go out in week 1 of the finals and if they do make week 2 often get convincingly beaten. @LeeToRainesToRoach may be able to provide some definitive data but a quick wiki search shows in the last quarter of a century only three times has the 7th or 8th side made the 3rd week of the finals (North , in 1997 and 2015) and only once has a side made the 4th week, Footscray in 2016.
7th and 8th just make up the numbers and only seem to be there for one of the top 4 sides to beat up on in week 2 of the finals and providing us with more ordinary finals games.
I hope your right.Pricky hugs Duckwood looking relieved, but get ready for the real race next Friday d-head. The geriatrics will be huffing and puffing non stop.
Thanks Lee. So yeah, of the 42 occasions virtually half of them (25) go on out in week 1. Then 15 in week 2. So 40 out of 42 occasions the 7th and 8th sides are out by week 2.Current final 8 system 2000-2020
42 teams
1 x GF (Bulldogs) AWM 25 pts
1 x PF (2 wins, lost PF) AWM 20 pts, lost PF by 25 pts
15 x 5th-6th (1 win, lost SF) AWM elim 26 pts, ALM semi 39 pts
25 x 7th-8th (lost EF) ALM elim 44 pts
I know why you’d say that but I’ve got confidence in Melbourne.I hope your right.
I've seen Melbourne too long to trust them.
I was at VFL park when Esihold missed from 3 metres out and for 30 years they blamed a Irish bloke that just started playing.
The 2000 GF won 13 or 14 straight going into the GF and lost by 10 goals.
The 2018 Preliminary.
I can't trust Melbourne.
And i reckon the will find a way to lose
Dogs broke their 62 year hoodoo, we broke our 37 years one and it's time for Dees to break their 57 years. Must happen.I hope your right.

Agree.I know why you’d say that but I’ve got confidence in Melbourne.
Beaten the Cats twice this year, albeit with a kick after the siren in Rd23.
Parfitt will miss, so they’re a mid rotation down. He had 22 in that game at GMHBA.
The week off against an ageing opposition on a bigger ground with a younger team, spells danger for the Cats.
I reckon Melb only have to be level at 1/2 time and the rest will look after itself.
Yep top 5 was clearly the best finals format.Bring back the top 5.
With only the top team having the advantage.
This finals series is a disgrace.
I’d prefer a final 5 like back in the 70s and 80s but agree with the gist. Thanks Lee. So yeah, of the 42 occasions virtually half of them (25) go on out in week 1. Then 15 in week 2. So 40 out of 42 occasions the 7th and 8th sides are out by week 2.
Time to make the finals more meaningful, revert to a final 6.
