WEEK 1 FINALS 2021

Port tried to play the Richmond way last night.
They looked convincing because they played the against the Bye.
Its going to be hard accepting this years premier.
Port between Burn Jones and Anon they were on world record pace for kicks out on the full.
Alir Alir might've marked everything in the first qtr but after that he dropped 4 sitters.
Dixon And Landmans hopeless lead up forwards. One goes one handed into contestsz while the other is always 2 metres behind his opponent.
Wines, Boak, Bulters and Gray are there only hope.
Im still not convinced they will win it.

Geelong got away with murder last night. The margin shouldve been over 70.
But the influence of hocking on the umpires was all there to see.
*The Rozeee hit front on?
*The in the back paid against wines on Dangerfield.
*Bews holding up play and no 50
*Cameron high hit on the Arrow
*Hawkins double hand push in the back
*Shithouse and Selwood's rugby passes in the 2nd qtr.
*Stanley constantly jumping before the ball was in the air
*Dixon getting frontal contact.
The throwing was there for all to see last night. At one stage in the second half port players even stopped because of a throw in front of the ump but no free was paid. It’s shitful and the dangerous tackle!!! Were there two paid last night?

He has some real
mental issues with finals. He needs an Emma Murray type. He almost freezes. He’s not alone at the cats.
Take away the media.
When was the last time you heard someone say to you 'that Dangerfield is a Gun"
I haven't

Q: Who kicked 5 goals in the 2017 qualifying final, 6 in the 2018 elimination final, 7 in the 2019 qualifying final, 5 in the 2020 qualifying final, and 5 in the 2021 qualifying final?

A: (you know it's coming) Geelong.
Their average score difference between finals and H&A is about 40 points
2 goals after half time last year's GF

Living in Shepparton is pretty bad at present with gaol time and all of that.
But, hearing this morning that the Pussies were soundly beaten brought a tear to the eye.

We made some uncharacteristic decisions to give them really easy looks probably when, if anything, we were on top of the game. But they got some easy goals,

Oh Scotty, on top? That was maybe 2 minutes in the whole game.

It's the Clench.
Gets him every time during the finals. Chest puffs out, arse cheeks clench tight enough to crack walnuts n he's *smile*. Can't run or bend over, loses all sense of balance n falls over every time he gets near the ball.

Port look like us except they have no champion key forwards or champion defenders or GOATs. What they have is elite kicks all over the park, which we've never had.

Burton and Bonner are softer than Jayden Short, but they're better kicks. McKenzie and Whatshisname the skipper are 6'2 key defenders but Aliir saves their arses and McKenzie has a cannon of a leg. Houston's a great kick, Amon's a great kick, Marshall's a great kick, so are Georgiades, Motlop, Rozee, Gray and Fantasia. None of them are bad kicks, at least not as diabolical as George, or KMac and Marlion at times.

Like us, they play with speed and pressure, but they move the ball streets better by foot.
Yep we need to maintain our game plan while bringing in better kicks and some dangerous small forwards.

If GWS win today, wouldn’t it be sweet if they then knock Jeremy Cameron out of the finals next week
I'm sure Cameron has Lids' number somewhere to help deal with that

But hey the one-off barracking for port is over and it's back to hating those filthy ferals again...

Dangerfield is clearly not a great player. Great players perform in finals.

Exactly. I would love for the media to stop calling him a Champion player. Champions step up in finals and remember a Champion WINS THINGS. Danger has won NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA.

But they would love Danger to get the ultimate success.
He was good last night. 3 goals for Port.

The rhetoric of that will change, he was involved directly in 3 goals (the for Port bit will be dropped - much like that mark that Danger dropped for Fantasias goal :rotfl2)

But its Henderson fault they lost.
And Stewart would've made a 7 goal difference.
Trust The media

chris scott's gameplan isn't finals proof.

what you need in today's footy is a high intensity, high buy-in, helter skelter, dirty ball game plan to win finals. this is why teams outside the top 2 often win flags - cos you rarely sustain this game style over the course of a season and you need to build at the right time. some games are thus dropped along the way, particularly early doors.

chris scott's control method is the inverse of chaos - easy to dispatch foes in the home and away when the pressure is slightly off, but found out big time in finals.

this is also why scott has accumulated a solid record of top 8 finishes but a poor record of actually winning them. the worst possible situation for club and fans. ongoing torture.

hardwick tried a possession style in 2016 and our players weren't able to execute. thank god for that, because it triggered a review and ushered in a coach more amenable to change.

Wasn't too long ago when they were praising what a great coach he is.

To be fair a lot of cat fans have been saying that Scott doesn't win big finals for a long time. They can see it. Well, except for the nuff-nuffs.

If I was Clarko I'd consider Geelong before I went to Carlton.

a side note on the stand rule -

a hindrance to scoring in the home and away, due to teams simply flooding D50.

inconsequential thus far in finals.
