Add a decent sports science expert and new fitness/medical team, a game plan players understand and improved culture and I couldn't agree more. :)

good post DD. this is as important as the Hardwick appointment.

Finals next year IMO are not important. What is important is that we start to build a decent list and develop a style of play that will take us somewhere.

the kids have been playing much better than the oler blokes have for us.
reckon playing a younger group of goers, with maybe richo and cuz we will win more games next year.

If you put the current side playing for Coburg reserves, they still wouldnt play finals!!!

PITIFUL!!!

Of course we will.

Shouldn't all the players and fans start each year beliving that we are going to make finals, or whats the point.

I don't think so, 15th to 8 is a huge jump.

However every year in the AFL 15 of the 16 clubs don't achieve their ultimate objective, following football for most club in most years in a triumph of optimism over probability.

A bit of harmless optimism from membership buying fans is useually harmless and I think it's great that the mood in Tigerland has improved to the point that a optimistic minority are daring to dream again.

15th to 8th is the same size jump as 16th to 9th which we did in 2008. ;)

Nobody really knows where we'll finish next year. And all of us are biased by our distinct despair and personal anguish at following Richmond anyway!

Doesn't seem very likely but, hey, stranger things have happened in sport and life. I won't hold my breath.

Alas, it seems the best solution is Homer Simpson's theory of aiming incredibly low so as to avoid any potential disappointment. Anything good that happens will be a bonus - unless you're already wanting us to tank! In which case, nothing good is allowed to happen!!
