W10 v Dorks

With 3 weeks to go we had a huge chance for a top 4 finish , no win in last 3 games , now we travel to play Port in a do or die final , very disappointing

The girls will be on holidays from next Monday.
Skill level is still poor and the overal competition looks like it hasn't improved.

Even if they do show up, the skills improve, and they beat Pordadelaide, they would be back on the road to Brisbane week 2 or face Hawthorn again. Game over.

They need to draft an agile mark clunking key forward. Other teams have them. We have Brennan who drops about 50% and Greiser, enough said.

....... but isn't Brennan a 'superstar' of the game?
It’s not so much that she isn’t a good player. Superstar? No. But when Katie is the only real forward marking option i50’s are chaotic and inefficient an/or innefective.

Brennan is very good, but does need to hold more marks. I saw her mark a nice one last week under pressure, grabbed the ball and then protected it, so she can do it.

But the way they over-hype some of the players does women's footy no favours. It is this notion that you need to build the hype but people see through this and then ignore the hype.

By all means call the superstars, like Mon Conti who just handles the ball so cleanly and get through traffic etc, a superstar. But stop giving that label to players who aren't amongst the best few.
