Umpire farce - Getting worse by the minute!

Where do you get this from? Wish there was a way to find goals from free kicks stats, they used to publish it in the newspaper but I don't suppose they want that sort of info out there these days. Would be very interesting to see goals from frees by team, and goals conceded by frees for each team.

It’s just a screen shot I got from a FB post, don’t know where the full details are though.

Interesting Carlton have received so many goals from frees (21) but also given away so many (18)

And also interesting that the bottom 5 teams on the real ladder are also the bottom 5 teams of this ladder. And Hawthorn getting a Richmond-like teaming at the bottom with -9.

The Swans benefited from 2 decisions that resulted in 2 goal turn arounds early in that game. At that point the Hawks were shoing some pluck (pardon the pun), and these decisions broke the game open the Swans way.
One decision was a high fend off by a Swan that got paid high the other way 30mk out from the Hawks goal. Swans went coast to coast for a goal at the other end.
The second decision was when the Hawks kicked a goal from a set shot, but as the kick was being taken, Chol pushed a Swan (hardly forceably in the upper chest) Swan goes to ground like he was caught in the Dresden bombing and the goal wasn't counted, Swans again going coast to coast rom that penalty. That was the last of the Hawks resistance.

Thats the whole thing. It's not just free kick count, its when they happen. How often do you look at the free kick stats in a Richmond game and the opposition is up to 8 or 9 free kicks and the Tigers have barely had one. You can always even the stats up at the end of a game when the heat has gone out of it.

Didn’t lynch get a few frees from goals against the blues. Which was unusual. I just remember the blues going feral.
Lynch had missed so much footy last season that the umpires forgot who he was and gave him those two early free kicks (one was pretty soft in a Curnow sort of way), then the message about who he was came out and that was it.

90% of North's scores come from umpires
Therefore this year Scanlan's will have umpires in blue & white on there cards.

Just watching AFL360 and they show a clip of Melbourne training, an FMD Clayton Oliver's handballs even during training are full on 2 hand throws.

The 50m penalties are interesting too, Carlton right at the top again.

Gee, I wonder who the AFL want to do well this year?

Except they don't in our games, the reaming usually comes after half time.
Free kicks have generally been close in the first half, the 'evening up' comes in the third, and especially the last quarters.

Probably because apart from the Mold Coast game we've been competitive and in the game during the first half. Maggots get the chance to reassess n reset at half time to make sure we're dead by stumps.

They have many strategies to screw us, and anyway, consistency is not their strength.
