TV for Overseas PREers

I'm also in the UK & agree that the aussietv service is great if you have a fast connection and computer. If not its a challenge to get radio to work (if at all) and there seems to be a 24hr delay on video for replays if you don't want/are not physically able to get up at 4am on Saturdays or Sundays. AFLTV won't confirm to me what the delay for replays should be so I end up spending the day hitting the refresh button on the replay page.
That said, the deledio- martin opening goal vs Essendon justified the monthly fee.

I am travelling through Spain and Portugal for 3 months with the family and its a great service and agree the quality is very good on the laptop. $20 US per month is the going rate if you don't want a 12 month subscription. Will miss it when I get home and back to free to air. You can watch a replay of any quarter of any game this year if you choose at any time - just click and there it is. I am not sure how far back in time the replays go.

Interesting to see if the coverage is as good when we get to Morrocco in a couple of weeks.

I am setting the alarm for 7am (I am on holidays) to watch the Hawks play tigers tomorrow morning.

did anyone else struggle with afl.livesport.tv this weekend?

I could not access the game live on Sat, & now they have q's 2-4 available for replay but not q1!

It was OK for me - I was up in time to watch the 3rd and 4th qtrs of the Hawthorn match and it was fine. Agree they don't have the opening qtr up yet for some reason but I rewatched the other 3 qtrs today. Great (game, result, and service)

I watched the whole game live with no problem except for the fact that the "still" they put up at the quarter breaks - the one at half time froze and I only realised the game had restarted because of some comments on the PRE game day thread. I had to refresh the page.

It is/was patchy this weekend for me as well. Luckily the game was on the teeve but the other games were patchy and struggled to watch them.

Makes sense really. The Tigers announce their arrival and the interweb suffers a meltdown.

I'm heading to Europe in a couple of weeks and will be taking off 10 minutes before the GWS game so I won't be able to utilise afllive.com. Can anyone confirm if the AFL's smart replay is accessible outside Australia, or how else I can watch the replay?

Like last week and the week before. Bastards.

I swear it's still all Gustiger's fault.

Just thought I'd mention again that I watched the Bulldogs game on http://www.afl.livesport.tv - it was for a variety of reasons the first game I've seen live for a while. The quality was again staggeringly fantastic. Honestly forgot at times it was internet streaming.

I cancelled my subscription because the quality was so bad.

Might try again next season if Australia Network show the same substandard AFL that they showed this year. Should have a HTPC setup by then so I can stream straight to a tv.

Out of interest are there any Tiger supporters based in New Caledonia? Being surrounded by French and Canadians I am pretty desperate for some decent Tiger talk (the bride doesn't cut the mustard in this field!)
