You see what Ellis has to say about him for his 250 and you see why the boys love him and play for each other. He sets the tone, makes it safe for all. Intelligent man is Trent.
Ok let's bury this now.
The day Cotchin chose to kick into the wind against port in the final.
Was all Mark William's fault.
He told Cotchin the wind wouldn't be a big issue at the start of the game.
I love a good hard luck story. But when your side is massacred the toss at the start of the game is irrelevant.
I was at that game. Massacre.
H&A games. Even finals, DSSS, sometimes you don't turn up.I remember watching it on TV. Port were astounding in that first quarter, just so fast and everywhere at once. They couldn't sustain it for weeks on end but I'm not sure who would have challenged them that night. I just figured we were beaten by a far better team on the night.
DS
He always presents such a plain vanilla face to the media. I'm sure the real Cotch is much more interesting. His willingness to embrace his vulnerability changed our club forever.
He's an incredible role model for not just our players but all Richmond Men.
Amazing leader.

*17 yearsI said it before and i say it again.
If he was playing in the round 11 game against port we wouldve won.
He leads from the front and the rest follow.
It will take the club another 100 years to find another Cotchin.
