Trent Cotchin (Merged)

If our Skipper Chimp impacts September as he has last year and his step up tonight it will push the RFC towards the grand prize.

26 touches and 5 tackles plus all his intangible stuff. Like the team he was obviously just park footy for the last few weeks

Epic yet again tonight.

Nothing more needs to be said.

I know you're right.

But I still want roll out the superlatives for Cotch. He could have decided he was too good to be wasted playing in-and-under and carved out a nice (multiple Brownlow?) career as an accululator. But not this bloke. He understood what was needed and accepted the challenge and became a beast. He is built like a sportcar but he plays like a juggernaut. I'm reminded of my brothers fetish for sportscars. He loved his MR2. Light, low to the ground, quick and nimble. But now he loves his Corvette. Brute force but beautiful. That's Cotch. Could have taken the choccies as an MR2 in a middle-of-the-road Tigers. But he levelled up, transformed into a 'Vette and became a Premiership Captain.

Love ya guts Cotch!

He did say he had been playing sore and appreciated the week off. Is a bit of a battering ram now. I think the breaks help us due to our game style.

Congratulations to Trent on a fantastic speech at the B&F last night, it makes me proud to be a member of this great club and to have the best Captain in the AFL.

Said the same thing to my wife this morning. Impressive young man.

Wasn't the same after smashing his knee into the post. His start to the year was why we going so well early on.

A telling quote from our esteemed captain today.

Cotchin cited defender Jayden Short's breakout 2018 season when forecasting the year ahead.

For those who don't have much time for him, take note of what our captain thinks of him.

Cotchin also tipped Griffiths in a conversation I had with him at a player sponsor dinner. Basically said he'd be the next big thing if he got some confidence. Just saying.
