Training For 2023

The Boys Return:
Session started 15 minutes earlier than normal so I missed the 1st group who did the time trial:(

The 2nd group of 15 players I saw which consisted of the talls and some of the lesser endurance smalls in Narkle, Junior, Brown and one of the new boys.
After 3 laps of this group i were quite pleased to see Tom Brown in 4th place at the end of the 5 laps he still beat 4 others home so I will take that. Gibcus came 1st, half a lap in front of everyone else, Biggie was 2nd, Narkle 3rd, Tarrant 4th and JNR put in a late sprint to finish 5th.

Rehab:
Jack Graham has just started running after toe operation so should only be upwards from here.
Tom Lynch did not do too much running but crutches and moon boot gone so I will be looking for a steady progression in the coming weeks as any setbacks would not bode well with his Plantar fasciitis issues.

Shorty just did about half a session of light rehab running.
Grimes did a full session of mild to medium running, (doesn't seem much wrong there).

Absent:
Still no Marlion:unsure:
Shai
Kamdyn

Track Standouts:
Dusty, Balta, Gibcus.

* Gibcus has definitely put on a few kg's.

Overall:
A pretty sloppy session to be honest, too many targets missed.
Still unable to get a read on any potential structural/positional changes, no match sim and they didn't even break up into lines today.

That's about it.

Cheers

Thanks Caesar.
Not surprised to hear that the skills were sloppy. They have barely touched a footy over the last few months.

Gee I’m excited about Gibcus.
We know from last season that the kid doesn’t like to get beaten.
More importantly, he looks like he doesn’t want to play in the Magoos either

Hold up TF, only Taz can be Taz.

And if Taz is Taz, who is Taz?
Forget Tazz the no 6 as he's nearly done. This is Taz from Taz and Hop....one half of the Starsky & Hutch duo we recruited over summer.

Marlion’s wife and family have struggled with life in Melbourne so he gets a bit of extra time over there every off season. We did this with him last year.
