Funny reading the melts from kangaroos supporters thinking they'd get him for free in the PSD.
So essentially we get a future 2nd for CCJ and Tarrant costs us pick 47 and a future 4th round pick.North will get CCJ, 42, 47 & a future fourth. Richmond will get Tarrant, 40 & a future second.
@AFLcomau
To the numbers guys, how does this look?
That sounds like a good deal for us and explains why we didn’t push hard for the Dogs’ pick. Their 2nd should be around 20-25 and it reduces our number of picks this year, but still leaves us with 38 & 40, which we might bundle up for something better. Good negotiating Blair! And thanks for listening to Trade Radio so I don’t have to, Bob!North will get CCJ, 42, 47 & a future fourth. Richmond will get Tarrant, 40 & a future second.

If we do the collingwood deal 38 and 40 go for 27. End up with 7, 15, 26, 27, 28.Good deal.
Basically have converted two third round picks this year into a second next year. That is smart. CCJ for 40 and Tarrant. Not great but it will do. Kept the Chol compensation, which is great.
Can they now package up 38 and 40 into something?
Can they convert 26 and 40 into something better and 28 and 38 also into something better?
could end up with five picks inside 25. That would be awesome.
Looks good to me.
Breaking it down we get a future 2nd and 40 for 47 and 42 CCJ.
So essentially its future 2nd and 47 for CCJ (as the other 2 kind of net each other out).
We trade a future 4th for Tarrant.
Reckon thats as good a deal as we could have expected.
North will back themselves in to finish much higher next year. Still reckon we get a pick around 25 next year personally even with some improvement from them, so 25 and 40 for CCJ and 47 is a good deal being as he was OOC and could have gone via the PSD.

Much better than I expected really
Cerra for pick #6 and a future 3rd rounder. Seriously? Carlton keep on giving.Yep that explains it! Gee Melb has done it, trendsetters the Dees have become.
Up to six of Carlton’s “biggest stars” took pay cuts to fit Adam Cerra into the club’s salary cap, reports Seven.
Cerra has joined the club on a four-year deal worth around $2.6 to $2.8 million a season, while George Hewett joined as a free agent signing a contract worth closer to $1.8 million across four years.
The moves surprised many, given the Blues’ recent trade activity, leading to questions about how they had enough cap room.
But the report claims as many as six players accepted less money to open up space for Cerra.
“I don’t think it’s much more than he would’ve got at Fremantle; this is more about him moving home as opposed to accepting a bigger deal at the Blues,” Seven’s Mitch Cleary said.
“This is the first buy-in to this selflessness the club’s talked about; Melbourne’s done it in the roots of their premiership.”
What is the big deal about Tarrant?
To be honest I know little about him except he is in his 30's.
Is he a great pick up?
Enlighten me please.
This a very good deal.Good deal.

Would prefer Dogs 23 but I’d still pay that overs (about 200 points off the top of my head) just to get 27 and reduce our picks. If we do the collingwood deal 38 and 40 go for 27. End up with 7, 15, 26, 27, 28.
wouldnt this be too much?26 and 28 to Brisbane for 18?
