Top 10 predicitions?

rosy23 said:
Sorry wasn't questioning your source Danog. I just don't understand how anyone could know which players other clubs will pick. When they might be after the same player as another club wouldn't they keep their cards hidden?

These days the top ten is pretty much locked and loaded a few days out (refer Matthew Rendell article on Inside Football latest edition).
And whilst we are weeks away from the ND, clubs are already starting to privately open up on who their preferences are (you scratch my back, i'll scratch yours).
A prediction of the top 20 at this stage is still ambitious, but not pure speculation.

If Danog's info is close to the mark then maybe our interest in Garner is at 32 and his shoulders are putting teams off from taking him earlier. Didn't play much footy this year which was his first year of rep footy.

Tigs deep down you know Garner is not going to be on the board at pick 32.

That would be a fair assumption, if we want Garner we'll probably need to make a call at 9.

Would you take him at 9 BH?

I like Garner a lot, unfortunately he fits into the category of damaged goods. He dislocated his shoulder on 4 or 5 occasions at the u/18 carnival and wound up having surgery soon after. If by some miracle he's available at 32 I wouldn't hesitate to call his name, definitely worth the risk as a second rounder.

Agree. Worth the risk at 32 considering you have 2 second round picks. But not at 9.

Frank plays safe at 9.

That would be an amazing draft for us too, Macrae, Pongracic, Towers, Boston. Not sold on Towers (would prefer Lowrie/Sumner/Atkins) but the rest would be perfect.

Unless by some miracle a Grundy/O'Rourke/Wines slide I really can't see us going past Vlastuin.

3. Menzel
4. Wines
5. O'Rourke
6. Macrae
7. Grundy
8. Jaksch

If we pick up Boston at pick #43, as per Toothless's post, will his nickname be 'Don't look back'?

No, it'll be 'more than a feeling'.

Great (air) guitar riif that track!
Indeed, and I only became aware a few years ago how the Hunnas Holy grail has such a similar guitar riff.
