Bloody hell tough day. Worst I’ve had on the punt for a long time. The line between success and failure is paper thin. Was on Warp Speed @$31 and beaten a lip. Those Japanese horses love fast ground and they stay longer than your mother in law. Wasn’t sure he could win but certainly didn’t think he’d get beaten by the rank outsider who is bred to win a Golden Slipper!
Finally got a winner in the last with Bel Air @$12 but had Dalaalat also at $12 to win the last in Sydney. Beaten a nose hair after suffering interference which undoubtedly cost it the race. Would’ve saved the day but that’s punting as they say.
Well done to anyone who ended in the black today.

First time I haven't watched the race. Is it losing it's lustre as a sporting event?
You missed out it was a great finish, even if I was on the wrong end of it. Crowds are up this year so not sure it’s losing its lustre.

Best crowd since Covid with 91k and Derby Day had 85k. Yesterday had some great stories in it and the best day racing to come.

Not sure it is losing it's lustre, great to see a local horse win it, it still has the ability to tell great stories.

Race 3 - Kinesiology @ $3.20. Can lead all the way against an average local mob.
Race 4 - Red Hot Nicc @$17. Flew first up. Drawn well. In form hoop. Over the odds in an open race.
Race 6 - Baraqiel @ $11. Still havent got to the bottom of him. Draw is tricky but Overpass will provide the cart across. Expect him to stamp himself as the best sprinter in the land today.
Race 7 - My Oberon @ $15. Maps a treat. In great form, keeps finding and can be right in the finish. Nash can lift him home.
Race 8 - Atishu $ $10. Tough taking on Via, but Atishu is a top class mare who loves flemington and loves the quick backup. Can go back to back in this race.
Rosehill:
Race 7 - Magic Time @ $2.60. Best of the carnival. Simple as that .
Back those at $10+ EW if you want, You do you.
