No worries elmer. Next sat.

I won the aussie nash hotel punters challenge today with my head on my chest. 5:2-2-1. Its amazing how much better $200 is than a tray of topside and fatty snags. Exchanged it for a couple of singapore chilli crabs and a heap of crownies down in wild west end.

Jokered Alizee

She prevented a solid arsekicking on the hustle.

Wasnt a bad run, had the heart pumping at the 300.0 Anyone who backed loving gaby would feel acutely discontented. She would have won with clear running.

Really funny story about jack styring in the winning post this week.

He sounds like tge jack dyer of race callers. p!sser of a fella.

His best was a description of a pulling horse,

'Its mouth gaping like a mother cod calling for its young'

Thats so vivid, im going to see little codlings cease their play and swim for home every time i see a horse pull now
$10 @ $5.50 Oregon's Day in the last.

Yeah had something small on Lyre.

Will be having something large of the flying Tassie filly tomorrow though.

Muchas gracias leysy. Would never have backed it like i did without your bullishness.

Dragged me out of a punting abyss back into blinding light

Youre my hero right now

Im going to wait for approval from leysy or elmer before i punt tomoz,

But here's my inclination.

1. Osborne Bulls in the newmarket, with protection on Sunlight the place ( i like my savers to pay).

Wouldnt normally punt a 22 horse straight race, especially a field like this, but i think Osborne Bulls is about to embark on a very good Chautauqua impersonation.

I love Elbows Bowman on board, he rides the percentages when hes on the good ones, i love the gate, hell get cover and charge right down the middle, and i love the weight.

2. Is controversial. Im laying The Autumn Sun. Think hell still have welts on his flank from the flogging mcevoy had to give him to just beat an OK horse first up. Thought it was a very underwhelming run off some underwhelming trials, and im going to back Nakeeta Jane, to show us that TAS hasnt come up like expected.

3. Im going to keep an eye on the betting on The Closer MR7. This is a good horse waiting to happen IMO, seems to enjoy 2nd up over 1400.

70% of my stake on OB win @$4, 15% Sunlight place @$4, 10% Nakeeta jane Win @$7, 5% The Closer win @$20

Hope that gets signed off by the leadership group

A pretty good strategy easy.

I've taken a 2 leg multi with the Bull and Avilius, and then a 4 leg with them again, The Autumn Sun and Redzel. The 4 leg multi is paying $19.84.

I like Oceanex is Sydney and i'm thinking about putting her in a 5 leg multi.

Youre keen Tman taking a quaddy for $20!

But i really hope you land it.

I was telling leysy a story about my punting year.

As ive said, i run a tight ship punt wise. I keep a book and i have a figure im prepared to lose, where my punting year is over ( havnt gone out the back door since records were kept = 6 years. In fact, believe it or not, ive never lost).

Lets call the backdoor figure -100.

Anyway, my dumb 2yo play on hustle left me perilously close to the backdoor in Feb FFS, without having played my long game on the tigers in '19.

I was very worried about the prospect of not being able to afford a ticket to the tigerland all you can eat in Sept (i work backwards on my tiger season bet. I estimate how much i need for flights, tix, accom and unlimited food and drink and nights out with higlet and ralph carr, for me and my sons, and i bet the tigers strategically to provide that. Its a bit if a no lose strategy, cause if i dont collect, i probably dont need to spend sept in tigerland) ;D

I was at -80, and played 20 (arriving at the backdoor) on leysys mystic journey, stepping away from the precipice, back onto even ground.

Youlle appreciate my relief and leysy love?

And didn't Mystic Journey win well, i'm a true believer in her now. I wish i had taken her, i had an all up place going Zebulon $4.20 tick, Fifty Stars $3.00 tick, and Ringerdingding for the place, he was 11th at the 800, 9th at the 400 and ran 4th a ****** pimple.

Good to see Willy Pike riding at Flemington tomorrow hope he does well. When was the last time he rode in Melbourne if ever?

Yeah great to see him there. Surprised they didnt put him on angelic ruler in the 1400.

Hope he loses the irons in the newmarket and bounces all down the straight. ;D

No talking you out of your bets ET!

Will have something small on the Bull. It’s a bloody hot race so not going silly.

Leysy’s best bet is 3 time group 1 winner Shoals in the Canterbury Stskes.

Not sure how she is longer odds than a couple of Goldilocks horses in Trapeze Artist and Kementari.

$7 num num num

Actually think Brutal is biggest danger so add him into quinellas tris etc.

Naantali the other bet in the last Flem today.

Confidence isn't great but has paid off too many times (well at least 3) at longer odds to walk past. Santa Ana Lane 10 @ $10.

Respect to Bulls and The Lad who I'll nibble at too personally cause of same reason at above.

Happy punting all. One of my favourite days of the year at the track.

My best each way bet today is I Am A Star.
