Yep. Only just realised I left that minor point out.

Late notice but trainer not overly positive. Tread carefully.

Apologies

A good first start for her T44, she paid well too :clap
Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks Tman - she exceeded expectations. I actually folded my Sportsbet win bet not long after the start and was thinking oh no as they turned for home. She was a little all over the place but finished off very nicely. Very happy with that effort. Will get better over more ground and with a bit more practice.

Good luck to Regal Cannon.

Interesting a set weights maiden but the winner only raced at maiden class as a 2yo.

The winner had the form but wasn’t supported given the price.ough oppo.

Flight commander will take its first official steps at wagga on Sunday. Nicely performed in a trial at Canberra last Friday.

Wait for acceptances tomorrow.

Yes i think she'll get over a bit over ground. Cameron Happ a tipster on racenet said that "she trialled ok in a strong recent jumpout", so i had a small win bet with a bit bigger (thankfully before you posted that the trainer wasn't overly confident) place bet on her, I owe you a beer.

Main Stage in the Aust Guineas at $17 is good each way value.

very good value. Ive backed it the place. Ive backed Grunt to win (his sectionals in the hayes were as good as redkirk warriors in the lightning apparently). Dont think the draw will bother him over a mile at flemington. Big weight swing to cliffs edge, but Grunt looks more on the up to me and is a big strong colt who can hump a load?

good punting all.

JB's up for the PREuncos

I like Aloisia against the boys, second up last preparation won the Thousand Guineas over a mile. Each Way value bet for the day at Flemington Race 3 No 4 Motown Lil - will give them a start but can finish hard.

Good punting all

My old man put it beautifully to me the other day, Leysy. Sliding doors moment for Gypsy... ;D

Newmarket weights are up. Doesn't look like it's going to be a particularly strong edition. Redzel has pulled the pin.

Gyps! Good to hear from ya mate.

How the punt going for you these days? Out doing the old man I hope ha!!

Aloisia bet of the day for leysy as well.

Fell Swoop the other one leysy likes.
Sticking with Cliff’s Edge but not confident.

Have just got over Regal Cannons underwhelming run Thursday.

Ok. I have been wrestling with a racing conundrum that no one else seems particularly interested in - can JB Cummings jnr jnr actually train? There seems to be a lot of horses in blue that start under $5 on the NSW country racing tracks who run unplaced. Or are those in charge of purchasing and breeding just really poor at their profession. But then of course there are a couple of exceptions - Mortons Fork goes ok, Kemantari looks a star and perhaps also does the one i am plonking on today for the PREuncos punters club - Alizee.

Shorter than i normally would like but the PREuncos need a boost and the homeless need a round of $2 7-Eleven coffees or hot chocolates.

Then of course we have to decide whether to take the early fixed or the tote or one of the fancy best-tote-plus-5% corporate offerings. Only T44 seems to have mastered getting the early overs on the fixed markets but i will try my hand today and take the $2.70 on offer hoping that it runs around $2.40 on the tote. If it blows beyond $3.00 it won't be winning anyway.

And let's just hope the stable foreman is in charge today.

Good punting to all.

Well done easy, i had a good day myself, i ended up backing my girl Shoals. She has only been out of a place once and that was her last start, so i thought she deserved a bit more of my money.

thats the only time ive backed her :p

if kementari wins the guineas next sat, which i firmly believe he will,

I'll be unleashing fire and fury on the bookies starting round 1.

Its pissing down rain on the farm, which is when I review horse tapes and ponder the upcoming G1's

Plus I love the Newmarket, plus im taking in the rarified air through a punting window which I sense should stay open for another week.

Obviously I have a stewart loewe handful of eggs in Kementari's basket in the Randwick Guineas. Went in hard early and feel a calm about the $3.5 I took an hour after the hobartville.

But I also reckon Merchant Navy wins the Newmarket.

I hope they're getting plenty of rain in Sydney easy, Randwick's a soft 6 at the moment. Foxplay's in the Canterbury Stakes, forecast says a bit more between now and Saturday, that will do me i'm on at $11.

good call tman. I think (not sure) she'll carry 55kg too, and I think Leysy was right last spring that 1. shes lengths better in the wet and 2. shes a slight mare who doesnt carry weight well.

she cost me a bit last spring and I thought I'd sacked her, but I'm going to give her one last chance the way thing are aligning for her in The Canterbury. Like you say, 10-1 buys a lot of forgiveness

ta leysy. WFA scales confound me.

I thought an August 4yo got 57.5 minus 2.5 discount for being a filly/mare?

she won a couple of g2's as a 3yo with 56kg, so hopefully 57 is ok

I also reckon 1300 could be a bit short for some of the fancied runners, a couple of them even dropping back

anyways, ive invested at 10's.
