I think you will find tommy berry rode the grey.

And it's Zac Parton.

Any relation to Dolly?

I'm going to stick to punting on the footy, the track bias on Sydney tracks are doing my head in, Melbourne isn't much better.

Shinn looked at the replay AFTER correct weight had been declared when he sought to protest against alleged excessive whip use before the 100m.

Berry was mentioned in the stewards' report on two occasions yesterday for excessive use.

No fine.

Last year as i recall at the Sunshine Coast the stewards lodged their own protest which they upheld.

By the way, in terms of aptly named horses, our Atlantic sentinel is first up at Wagga this afternoon. Sired by Fastnet Rock!

Whilst he is both fresh and fit, look for him second up.

my mistake. Shinn remains a sook

jeez you have some well bred horses bernie.

Agree there JB03.

The rule requires Stewards to have regard to the race and the context of whip use.

So for all intents and purposes, differing interpretations can be applied between a stakes race and a bush race, while the reference to context conflicts with the rule limiting the number of strikes before the 100m!

Can you imagine what would have happened if the stripes took the race away from Chautauqua?

And ET look out for Nevada Mo at Scone tomorrow.

More importantly, why doesn't Francesca have her own thread?

she deserves it. if she barracked for richmond, which she might, she would be the prototype perfect woman

This thread is quiet for The Championships (Sydney autumn aint a patch on melbourne spring but its pretty good)

anyway, The Queen of the Turf. A star will be born. Foxplay.

banish any creeping thought of an EW bet.

I'm happy to share my next big thing .........

Foxplay up to a mile. watch the tape of The Phar Lap last Saturday. McKevoy was flogging her at the 600, steered her into a no through road, pulled her almost to a standstill to find a way, and then she makes several lengths in 200m off a standing start

,in a withering burst.

Foxplay. The next big thing.

Rick McIntosh, great races , great finishes , fair enough, but every *smile* race just makes his enthusiasm sound put on.

I like his asides. And his style might be a way to stay sane calling one 0-58 after another perched one his own In a little box. And it's not like he often has a crowd below to provide the buzz.

So gut wrenching that Rapper Dragon broke down in Honkers. A magnificent beast who made watching races worth while.
