Hope his injury is not too serious.

Great signs today, he was very good in the guts, gave us first use a few times.

He’s not quick, but he can find it in clearance and contested situations. 5 clearances. Second most on ground with just 68% time on ground.

Needs to look to kick the ball. His natural tendency is to look to handball. Needs to feel more comfortable kicking it,.

You can see he has great spatial awareness of the players around him. And a fast refresh rate.

He got more confident as the game wore on IMO. Early on, he made several predetermined decisions in which he already knew where his teammate was before he got the ball, so he was able to handball to someone right away without needing to think too much. In other plays, the first option was cut-off, and he was able to very quickly adjust and refresh his options to change course and go for a kick. When he did this, he rushed his kick the first few times (high and long off one step). At that point, I was a bit worried, but by the end of the match he was doing the same thing, but with more composure when taking that 2nd or 3rd option. I really like that ability to update his decision making quickly in real time and then execute with composure. I call it decision-making refresh rate. DMRR. Shows he has a quick mind to match the quick body.

I liked his game today, showed about of zip around the contest. Had a few rushed disposals after winning the ball in congestion which can be forgiven. He came off, went down into the rooms and came back on for a few minutes before they subbed him off so hopefully that shows his injury isn't severe and more of an annoyance than anything.

Reckon he still needs to put on a bit of muscle though.

I’m not sold but It’s enough to persist with. Kicking still an issue.

Really hope injury is nothing serious. What the team is lacking he has in spades. Clean, quick hands. Good footy iq and gets it going our way out of the middle. Injuries aside must keep playing each week
