He got more confident as the game wore on IMO. Early on, he made several predetermined decisions in which he already knew where his teammate was before he got the ball, so he was able to handball to someone right away without needing to think too much. In other plays, the first option was cut-off, and he was able to very quickly adjust and refresh his options to change course and go for a kick. When he did this, he rushed his kick the first few times (high and long off one step). At that point, I was a bit worried, but by the end of the match he was doing the same thing, but with more composure when taking that 2nd or 3rd option. I really like that ability to update his decision making quickly in real time and then execute with composure. I call it decision-making refresh rate. DMRR.
