Very exciting prospect , his kicking was pretty good for the most part i thought..
If he and RCD have big pre seasons our midfield is starting to look better..

Was very flat when I heard he was bought in for McKintosh.
Lost a mature body for an inexperienced kid.
More than held his own and, more importantly, showed us a glimpse towards the future.

First time I’ve seen the agility used to win ball.

Very promising. Point of difference if he maintains this.

Agile like Bolton, and moved with purpose. His kicking had more penetration than I thought, which was a major positive. Plays for the rest of the season.

I think he has lacked a bit of confidence but today I think he started to believe

Thought his speed and lateral movement was a point of difference today.

Looked extremely impressive. 10 contested possies and looked more nimble. Midfielder of great promise

Since he first landed Dow has worked angles, often lateral. Runs laterally. Handballs laterally. Kicks at angles. That's ok in a young player. They still often do it at GWS (seeing the change there?). But it's not what we do as a rule and it's not aggressive football.

Thomson Dow began to run straight on the weekend. Use the ball forward. And looked a player immediately. We let him use space and the ball and the improvement was conspicuousness.

He's always shown talent. And smarts. Now improvement, and most importantly, coachability.

Got better as the game went on & he grew in confidence at the same time.

Nice game from him.

No doubt will get the Rising Star nomination unless of course Brad Johnson didn't manage to see the game (again) which we all know will happen and no nomination for RFC since......?

He's doing incredibly well considering he lost so much time, weight and fitness due to surgery - looks like we have one here.

Whenever I have tuned into the VFL I have been impressed with his ability in traffic. Always looked a clean player who had the ability to get in and out and most importantly had good decision making skills which I thought made him stand out - even though he was a low possession winner. Promising.
