If it Bleeds you can Kill it!
List has been hemorrhaging since the season started, no need for anyone to kill us. We've just about bled out already.
Hopefully we can stay alive without further injuries until after the bye round n start getting some key players back into the team.

More positive earlier in the week before latest injuries but still optimistic, if not for this game, this year, certainly the short term thereafter. Enjoying the ride & glimpses our youth have given us. Tonight ? We'll know soon . Just go hard & the rest will take care of itself. Eat 'em alive!

If we don’t get players back the second half of the year could get a bit ugly. Draw coming home a lot harder than the draw we have had until now.

And the MCG invincibility is no longer there.

This was the game that exposed us.
No pressure, no fight, no idea

This is the problem with building this game up as something more than it was. It was a mid season nothing. Those who have no understanding of football, or rather, are blind tiger optimists predicted a win, but any level headed person could see it was never going to happen.

You simply can't beat the best team in the league with a VFL side (albeit with most of an AFL midfield). This was always a game we were going to lose. Always. It doesn't mean anything other than it's June.

Let's see how Geelong go in September.

I don't know that it was a lack of pressure so much as no opportunity to apply pressure because Geelong were getting possession, feeding it out to a free player and then they were off.

We really need to improve the contested possessions, you just can't defend against clean quick possession. The other aspect is sloppy disposal which cost us a lot in the second term where they well and truly wrested control of the game.
