This is it! This is the game.

Crazy stuff on here about how we are no chance. Cats recent record at the G is poor. Take away this years wins there and they are 50/50 since 2012. They have won only 2 of their last 8 finals there.

When we lose we normally get destroyed.

This won't be any different.

Just hope we can keep out defeat under 10 goals.

it'll be close. we could definitely take it. Scott struggles to coach against us at the G and it won't be any different tomorrow night despite our depleted stocks.
the Cats get lost there ..

I’d love to see us win this, but you can’t lose that much experience and leadership (especially from the defence) and still come out with a win against the experience of Geelong, who are having a better run with injury than we are.

Agree.

Pressure is on the kitties - with all our injuries.... they will be hot favourites!! We are coming off a bad loss. The areas we pride ourselves on - we were slaughtered in. Hardwick will be hell bent on a Richmond-like performance. Back on our home deck. Backs to the wall. Cats by how much!?

We have some injuries - but we also have some depth. Yes we are missing some quality in Nankervis, Lambert, Rance and Riewoldt... irreplaceable... but we do have Stack, Baker, Balta, houli, Lynch....all weren’t there last time we played them and all of them won’t take a backwards step. They might be on top but they aren’t unbeatable... by any stretch. I feel like this group might crave for these types of opportunities.

...personally I think we are a huge chance.

Nah - can’t see it with our injuries - reckon we have hit that tipping point with injuries even with cotch back.

I reckon if we are to get an upset before the bye then it will be in Adelaide next week - young squads like the travelling and we have already escaped that ground with 4 very upset points this year.

Hope I am wrong but happy we have 7 wins to date against the odds.

Towner to flatten Danger and Stack to retire Ablett in the first 5 mins. Then it's game on.
Gestapo Gill will order anti-Christian and Shocking to throw the book at Stacky and Towner and then suspend them for life.

We lost to Bulldogs and and Kangaroos with arguably stronger teams.

Would be astonished if we won.

Different mindset and different venue.

Not sure about the stronger teams.

Tross, Jaaack, Nank, Lamblett, Ass berry, Bobble, Shorty, Grigga ( retired ) all missing from what was expected to be our core starting players. Sausage n Geezer out of form n Houli bashed up last week.
Optimist in me says we'll be lucky to get within pissin distance of the moggies.
Taking a double strength brew to the game tomorrow to help me survive the incoming avalanche.

I believe that this will be the game that shows how much hurt factor injuries to key personnel has.

We'll be spanked and Scott will have the biggest smile on his smug face post match interview.

I don’t believe 1 game is ever an indication of a team’s chances of winning the flag. Adelaide in Round 6 of 2017 was our “this is it” game and we got thumped.

As for Geelong, they are performing better right now, but I definitely still think we’re a better club. In 3 months, when it matters, our injury crisis will not be the factor it is today.

Echoing previous posts, I’m more confident this week than last.

Yep, when we get our players back
But they keep dropping like flies.

Have we changed our training regime?

Only thing i will comment on is that if people think Stack and Townsend will make the Cats "worry"about their physical presence then its a poor reason to think the tiges will win on that basis.
