ApologiZe. OrganiZe. SpecialiZe.

Has always been an 'S' in there, unless you grew up in America.

why do the yanks wanna be different with their interpretation of the english language? is it an attempt to wanna spell words more phonetically? i guess i can understand why they would spell 'centre' as 'center' for example. but i hate how they prononce the last letter of the alphabet as 'zee.'

P.S. gotto love the irony of the word 'phonetically' not actually being phonetic. :hihi

Re-sign and resign are 2 different things people, please learn!

it's funny how 2 words with opposite meaning are virtually spelt the same way. quirks of the english language.

are you a yank ian.

Have you tried singing the Alphabet Song, Ian?

'Zed' doesn't rhyme, therefore it has to be 'Zee'...!

Is your shift key broken?

no it isn't broken. thanks for asking just the same. my caps lock isn't broken either in case you're wondering. my plus key on the number pad is missing though. i hope your computer is keeping good health. :hihi

further to my last post. although my shift key isn't broken my arm is badly broken. quite mangled in fact and extremely painful. i find typing with one hand quite trying. i can't be bothered with capitals and a lot of things are nigh on impossible to type with one hand...hence i won't ask you a question. my fingers on one hand won't stretch far enough to reach the question mark. the shift key you ask about is useless for that in my situation anyway. :)

Ah, so this is the sound of one hand typing. Good luck with your recovery.

Rosy, voice recognition has come a long way. While the thought of talking to your PC might not excite you, it can help rest your arm yet still contribute. It's worth a shot

It's best to put that conversation into conservation for now.

That effect will affect the outcome.

Be careful when you advise for advice.

thanks baloo. i'll look it up out out of interest but i reckon the moth thinks i talk enough already without having to listen to me talking to the computer as well..then again he is a tad hard of hearing so might be a good idea.

thanks for the good wishes all. i hope my lower case posting is legible enough for people to put up with until my arm heals. could be quite a while :(

most men are used to typing with 1 hand while browsing the internet (sorry, couldn't help myself) :rofl

P.S. sorry about your hand Rosy. speedy recovery, etc.

So my long term goal is to always start a sentence with a conjunction. Because you see I'm my own man. And I refuse to be bound by petty conventions. But by even flouting these rules perhaps I'm still conforming. Or maybe not.
