Good job Madcow. I have Deledio as a Forward not a Midfielder. He can be either according to the HS.

Who ever drafted Sandilands is going to get burnt big time [I had him all last season, does not do enough for the cost].

Very useful info from here to get your update DT score [not Herald Sun] but it gives you an indication who is playing well in the practice matches.

I have the same problem with Ricky Petterd. I chose him as a defender not as a midfielder. Ruck stocks are a bit ordinary :(

Good luck mate!

Cheers pharace.

Yeah definitely struggling with the rucks. Much of the little quality there was went very early in the game.

Of your team, your rucks and mids are outstanding. Is that where most points are scored in supercoach?

How do the defenders stack up points wise?

*PS: Thanks for the updates skipper and all your hard work today Kiwi. :fing32

Mids are by far away the most prolific scorers in Supercoach. There a re a few elites in other positions (Cox, Pavlich, Bowden), but Mids outnumber others in the top 100 easily, followed by Fwds, then Defenders, then Rucks.

I'm kinda counting on Jolly and Macca to get through the season. An injury will hurt me, but over the journey, the extra money spent on mids compensates unless you lose a Ruck for the whole season. Not a big go for Defenders after the top 25 - again fwds tend to reward more, especially with big points available for scorers. Look for tacklers in your defenders - 4 points ea, so 6 tackles is 24 points straight up before kicks, marks and handballs begin.

Cheers

when picking elite IMO, in a draft like this, i reckon its important to get the elite in backs, forwards and then Mids.

the reason is as Pharace stated, there are plentifull high scoring mids. It puts you behind to miss the few high scoring backs and forwards.

Hence why i'm happy with Bowden, McPhee and Lucas.

thanks again for all the help.

work has finally put a little slowdown to my ability to keep up.

Tommorrow afternoon I will do an audit and hopefully everything will be alright.

to late for me now.

its going very well, and this comp should be a great success. :clap :clap

I still reckon SC is a game for the HBF sponges.

Bowden, Cornes, Lake, Fisher, Drummond.

the countless marks and rebound 50's they have is the reason why the top sponges in the league find themselves right up there with the high averages.

If you can switch Pettard Taraba let me know and i.ll change it

Pharace, I was going by this which was under rules of the draft posted by U2.

12. You can delist only during one of your draft turns or at the end of the draft. If you delist during one of your draft times then you obviously get 2 picks that turn.

Is their a list of the draft times for today i.e. have I missed 1 or 2 picks yet?

Edit - Nevermind....just saw it's on page 1.

Ah, I see, which is contrary to discussions he and I had just the other day.

This comp is work in progress. Do we really want a situation occuring now that has coaches potentially delisting during each selection? I know I will have some needs like you now, as will others. Tough for the Mods. I'll leave it to U2 - you certainly seem entitled.

My other thought is that by drafting a certain player he is then denied to all others from that point on. By having him re-enter the pool now (mid-draft), as opposed to some time after the draft, there may be some coaches who simply can't take that player again for financial or space reasons. I don;t like that possibility really. What do others think?

Personally I'd rather see a one week period following the draft that allows for draft delistings and picking from the remaining pool.

I'm going to get you to read my contracts in future Mav :clap :hihi

Agreed. Otherwise it gets very messy.
Whilst Mav would seem entitled to delist, I'd sure prefer it vetoed.

The "rule" that Mav is referring to was listed as follows:

"ISSUES with fitting under salary cap/ Player positions.
11. If you have problems as such you will need to delist any 1 or more of your players to ensure which will help you be able to can fix your stuff up. You will however only be able to use the pool players to fill your team them. The PRE timeclock will be used to confirm or deny any player delistings and re-listings. Time will always be of the essence The player you delist is open for anyone else to use on a first come first serve basis determined again by the PRE timeclock.

12. You can delist only during one of your draft turns or at the end of the draft. If you delist during one of your draft times then you obviously get 2 picks that turn."

From my take on this, unless you are over Salary Cap or over Player Position Quota, then this does not apply to Maverick, or anyone else changing there mind about a player.

We have to be mindful that everyone can get their team registered on Supercoach. So it would be counterproductive to say once you've gottem drafted that's it. If people have made a mistake in drafting then we need them to be able to adjust it some how - but again i think that is best done at the completion of the draft from the balance of the pool. Call it a small disadvantage if you like to poor planning or selection - I don;t mind, but coaches who have put in the planning or astute selection should somehow get the most advantage.

On balance, I think Mav's delisting isn't met by the spirit of the rule (ie it was only in certain limited situations - which might become real issues come pick 29 or 30!).

I would be in favour of scrapping the rule completely during the initial draft process - with delists only possible for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday before the first game on a first come first serve basis.

Again thoughts please?

Unless you change a selection pretty much straight away and before someone else takes a following pick there shouldn't be any delistings while drafting. It just makes things too complicated.
