The RIP thread

I think that was Alan Martello Scoop played for the Hawks & the Tigers. Albert Mantello was on Norths board etc. I don't think he was on the radio.
You are bloody right, didn’t know they were seperate people.

I reckon he was a bigger legend than Gra Gra on Aust TV. Hit his peak when on the Don Lane Show. Great times.

Gra Gra, Lane, and Newton yep big names of Aussie TV when Aussie TV was Aussie TV.

The Don Lane Show and Blankety Blanks were must watch tv back in those days.

He sure was. Dunno of anyone who didn’t like Bert. Him and Don Lane together. Great memories as a kid growing up watching those two.
Perfectly said My Dear Redsox.

The same thoughts, Great times back then on Aussie Tv.

Its f#%$&%#&%# dire as these days.

Aussie TV Royalty was ol Moon Face.

RIP Bert Newton an icon.

Bert was a legend of Aussie TV. I had an uncle who was a dead spit of him. Mum went into a bank one day and there was an ad with Bert in there. My mother thought initially why her brothers picture was on this advert, then realised it was Bert.

Bert at his finest - Upstaging The Village People

Rip Bert. You'll always be a part of my cherished childhood years. How lucky we were to have you in our lives growing up in the 70's/80's.

Bert Newton dressed up as ol mate Demis Roussos as well and dressed up in Kiss Garb for their interview from memory.

My parents never missed the Don Lane Show when i was a kid.

Think it was on after Prisoner or Cop Shop which my mum loved back in the day

Totally agree craigo. Miss that TV so much nowadays. As an adolescent I couldn't wait until I was 18 to get my first car and drive out and watch this great entertainment we 'used' to have live at the studio.

I was a nerd of Aussie primetime TV back then. Never missed an episode of all those 3 shows.
