The Official "RFC Coaching Position" Discussion Thread

Either way I think there'll be approx 33 players thinking well boys its on now. We have had the easiest ride for 5 years, now we'll start to "feel some pain" Snickers.

Actually, North forced our hand on this one.

If they gave a 3yr contract after their ad hoc "process" then we have to give at least 3 years after a thorough one. :cutelaugh
To be realistic given the now famous "process" has been given so much emphasis, then we hava little option other than to give the new coach a minimum of a 3 year contract as we are saying we have looked at the very best available and picked the one who is the best fit for RFC. Offering only 2 years after that would be a major contradiction.

No word yet?

Ah well.

The ox is slow but the earth is patient.

Gold, Phantasm! :clap

Of course, the only thing slower than the ox is the wait for Richmond's next Premiership...

oh, and maybe Treacle Pattison and Gumpus Graham! :hihi

Take it for what its worth but Leysy's been advised from a pretty decent source that Hardwick has been appointed.

Would not surprise me if thats true. Surely by now the candidates know their fate and the whispers would be starting about now. I think we will know well before the press conference tomorrow who the coach will be.

Gospel for me. Happy days. Did say that about Wallace five years ago but Hardwick is a different type of bloke.

I'm confident the club will make the right choice between the two so happy either way, be nice to get it done and dusted though.

I want to read about our coaches new vision for the club not H or H all day :hihi

I am with you there DD ;D

Hardwicke according to March says 14 players on our list can make it - that is a whopping 25 that need to go so Claw is right on the button with his 3 year turnover to rebuild.

CC said that to March. Not sure Hardwick did.

Should be 2 years +1 year option.

With thw state of our list, the poor guy, whomever that is will need at least 3 years to do anything.

I am comfortable with 3 years.

Agreed.

Though in reality he'll need 5 just to rebuild the list. ::) :blah
Maybe more.

At least 3 years straight from now + assessing the coach for a new contract from 2013 is better than the Wallace hi-5 straight.
