i thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to discuss all news, opinions, rumours and innuendo for the RFC coaching gig.

i'll start it off by raising 2 things:

1. i didn't see a thread about campbo pulling the pin on his application.
my view is that we need to give campbo some credit for putting his hand up and saying "i'm not ready" instead of wasting people's times, going through the process and then realising he's not up to it.

2. is someone able to provide the whole list of coaching applications on this thread? i'm hoping someone can make a list of people who has applied and we can cross them off as they fall by the wayside. i know some of them but i'm unable to list them all. i believe there are 11 left?

I'm personally glad Cambo pulled out. From his comments it would appear he doesn't yet have the self belief and the confidence to coach at senior level. He would have been broken trying to coach without that.

1. See Journos board. Plenty of talk there on Cambo's withdrawal.

For a list of the latest candidates, watch Hutchy tomorrow night. He should have the list as long as scooty updates PRE with his latest info.

so who has applied?

sheedy
campbell
jade rawlings
peter sumich
damien hardwick
ken hinkley (i think)

who can add to it?

B mitchell
K hinkley
D hardwick

Cue lavish praise by Redford
I'm finding it hard to work out where Redford ends and Crutchy's hair begins

do we know if he's officially applied?

He hasn't and as the RFC said there are a number of people who the CLUB will approach i.e. Buckley, Laidly, Matthews (if the rumour is true) and you would hope Malthouse.

Buckley mentioned on Game Day that he has spoken to the RFC so MBs mail is correct.

if buckley isnt prepared to sit through the coaching process, then we should scrap it and stop playing games and chase him and convince him that rfc is good for him instead the other way around. the others left have frawley/wallace written all over them.

Applying for a position means (unless your name is Wayne Campbell ;D) you are after the position, you want the job and you'll take the good and the bad that goes with coaching the RFC.

It doesn't go down well with me inviting an applicant, I cannot recall in any line of work where applicants have been invited to apply. Maybe someone can help me. Unless if Buckley hasn't applied, I'll be happy with him being invited because he is the one I want. ;D, but still if he or anyone is invited the applicant's heart must really be hungry enough for this position?

I don't think March or Cameron will play games with anyone, Bucks included. Especially if they compromised the process (ie drew things out/wasted time/didn't show sufficient genuine interest).
