Better still might be 20 rounds - 11 rounds with 9 games and a bye, 9 rounds with 8 games and 3 byes. Each team then gets 18 games and 2 byes for the year and there's no need for that stupid 'Gil McLachlan' bye before the finals.
I reckon the Taswegians would cut the chain to the mainland & let the island drift off to Antarctica if that happened.
