The fixture.

If that’s the case, why didn't they move to 18 minute quarters and shorten the breaks? Seems like a stupid idea to return to 20 minutes now when they had the opportunity to go to 18 and would have felt less resistance. The same goes with returning to an afternoon GF when twilight is a no brainer.
Out of character for the AFL but maybe they listened to the majority who want normal 20 minute quarters and an afternoon grand final instead of listening to Kermit and that twerp from Footy Classified?

We will be going to 18 min quarters and a later GF. I don't see the point of giving people false hope that they are here to stay.

We're gonna end up playing the Swans, Dudbourne and Footscray at their peaks.

They'll fall off during the year, but the way things are working out, we're gonna get them all when they're on top of the ground.

When do we get a home game?

So far only 1 home games at the G and an away game Sat. night against the demons.

Up to round 10 and only 2 home games. Our second game against the Hawks was an away game.

8 games away in a row apart from the Doggies at the G. That stinks. Only 2 home games in 10 rounds.

Means a heap of home games on the run home. That will make our mate Cornes happy

The Swans game was a home game. We will have 2 home games in the first 6 rounds then rounds 7 & 8 are home games against Dogs and Cats. Round 9 vs Giants is also a home game but at Chernobyl. Round 10 is away to Brisbane.

So 5 home and 5 away in first 10 rounds.

Thanks for that Rids. I must have read the fixture incorrectly.

Port finish top of the ladder and get double games only against Footscary and Stkilda.
They seem to play all hard opposition at home.
This competition is as contrived as it gets.

Only until its every side home and away will the comp ever be fair again.

Isn’t the Marvel game against GWS considered a home game?

I was really surprised to see that it was the first time playing them there.
It takes away our MCG advantage also playing the likes of these sides at the Dump, they gave North,, the Swans in recent seasons as well as the Saints, and the Dogs numerous fair shots at us by allowing us to only play them there as well.

If we got a home game against the Suns (heaven forbid) I bet London to a Brick that would be played there as well.

Graig its easy
Teams that finish 1-6 play each other twice.
Then all other clubs (12) once.

If you finish 6th you play 5th, 4th, 7th, 8th, 9th, twice and all others once

If you finish 12th you play 11th, 10th, 13th, 14th & 15th twice and all the others once.

If you finish last you play 17th, 16th, 15th, 14th & 13th twice and all others once.

Its not hard, its because the AFL wants 2 WA derby's twice, 2 Battle of the Bridge, 2 Queensland derby's and SA derby's.

If they stopped with the derby's my fixture is the fairest.

Not sure where we played them last time it was in Melbourne, but I remember TV kicking a bag against them one day, and I think that was at the G.
