Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Agree with Tigerbob that it does not surprise me the way the players vote on the MVP.

It comes across as a flawed system with it based on the players opinion not a game by game voting system. It just requires the players to nominate 3 players from their club for MVP winner and then the players vote on the MVP from all teams bar their own. Personally prefer the coaches award or the brownlow for credibility.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Each way bet at $101 - Matt Priddis. In and under clearance specialist.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Going to be hard to go past Juddy tonight given his history in the award but I too have a feeling that Priddis will be the smokey.
Pendles will be right up there too.

There is a few head to head betting options with Priddis v D Thomas one I am keen on. $1.70 Priddis.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Goodes and pendlebury are the only threats to Judd. Watch out for Goodes.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

After a bit of study over the weekend 3 bets for leysy -

- Pendlebury $7
- Murphy $20
- Chimp most votes at Richmond - $2.24

Both the former fit the winners profile of playing midfield in a high ranking team. Both look excellent value.

& the Chimp is well. The Chimp.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

According to The Age yesterday blondes have been very dominant in the past but that brunettes have made a bit of a comeback in recent years . They do expect blondes to be in the majority tonight however .

Yes, I think Priddis will vote well tonight. I'm on him as one of my bets for top 5 @ $10. I also think Swan for top 5 @ $1.80 is a near certainty. Just have a feeling his year has been underrated because of his little 3 week patch when he was down on form and went to Arizona. Dominated before and after that. He was hyped up last year to get votes and probably didn't poll as much as he should've. This year not hyped as much and I think it will even up. Just a feeling.

Bolded I like the value. Both will poll very well IMO.

Chimp I think will be outvoted by Martin who would stand out more to the umps as the matchwinner with his style of play especially in a couple of the wins potentially getting the 3's.

I am trying to get a small bet matched on BF for the any other player category for Richmond. If you can get minor dollars at say $500 it would be a good bet - (is is basically backing Nahas who should catch the eye).

One of the journos had Cotchin to lead at the halfway mark as their best value bet.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

I put a few bucks on Chimp to lead our votes, but a little worried Martin will out do him.

Chimp missed plenty of games, but 6 votes is pretty good from Martin for a first year player.

Last years votes were.

RICHMOND

Brett Deledio, Jack Riewoldt 7
*Dustin Martin 6
Shane Tuck 4
Daniel Connors, Chris Newman 3
*Trent Cotchin, Ben Cousins, *Daniel Jackson 2
Mitch Morton 1

Where did you find those odds?

I've had a little splash on Judd-Boyd/Goodes-Boyd quinellas for value. Can't see many Dogs taking votes off Boyd and he got big numbers last year. Also a sneaky bit on Pendles/Boyd at $70.

Cotchin's only polled 3 times in three years, Deledio 15 in six, Martin 4 in one. I like Martin, but not at odds upon.

Cotchin has had a break-out year so I expect him to do well, Martin will come second based on a purple patch mid-season and Deledio will probably poll around 6 votes. My tips would be Cotch 10 votes, Martin 8 votes and Deledio 6.

Agree with Priddis, has to be a good chance this year to do very well.

Re: Who will win the Brownlow?

Agree that Priddis will poll well. Have taken him to finish in the top 5 and to beat Dale Thomas head to head. Also took Wells to beat Gibbs head to head at $1.80. Thought he would be a lot shorter than that.

Judd should win going on past history but he's too short to back
