the 2025 draw.

They’ve deliberately screwed us from a commercial viewpoint. Considering that we’re always well supported and that we bring in money and don’t go begging to them like foldnorf and St Failure I don’t understand why they go out of their way to disadvantage us.
For us conspiracy theorists out there, it’s a deliberate ploy by headquarters to stop us being able to be self reliant. They want us to struggle so then we have to go cap in hand to them to beg for handouts and with all the strings attached to that

Geesook play us twice and in rd 24 too.

They get a *smile* easy draw every year.
Hmm. For the 3rd decade now, guess which of the “Big 4” clubs don’t travel down to that boutique ground? 2 of the 4 do.

And remember all that whining and bitching the handbaggers used to do when they had home games against us at the ‘G? I see they have a home game there against the Hawks. Where is the outrage coming from them about playing a finalist from last year at their home ground?
*smile* hypocrites!!!!

Trying to find the article again without success, but I see robbo has written an article about the saints “horror’ draw and if it’s linked to their president criticising the AFL. Can anyone remember if he’s done a similar article on our horror draws the past few years after our various criticisms of the afl?

Edit: Found it

Poor old StKiddenme. I'm sure the AFL just specially rejigged the draw to *smile* the basset hound over.
First thing the AFL does is follow the money and that's the t.v. money every year. The big clubs always draw t.v. money and *smile* loads of it when they're in form. AFL wants some big clubs and some interstate clubs in finals every year, especially the newer, northern state clubs The mediocre clubs only ever bring in decent coin when they're in red hot form n bugger all when they're just *smile* farting around the middle of the ladder year after year at best.
Clubs that are on massive handouts from the AFL year after year certainly should not be stupid enough to publicly bite the hand with the wad of cash in it.
No-one will care very much if StKiddenme struggles a bit early in the year while all the shiny money strutters are doing their thang. Plus I sort of might have noticed that if StKiddenme are halfway any good n competitive next year. They get a massive run of 6 of their last 10 games at Marvelarse stadium and play mostly mid tier to crap sides during that run so they could maybe try to do a Huckball n storm into finals contention late in the year, just to excite some interest of course.

What a farcical competition this is. WWE is more genuine than this contrived, endlessly manipulated league.

Is there any other sport in the world that constantly adjusts its fixturing to meet a plethora of "special" circumstances ?

It was mostly focused on having to play us at the G. They never moaned about their precious Easter Monday game against the Hawks being consistently played at the G.
