Hard to change after such a great win, but still want some workable support for our present JD leader !
Castagna had a great game.
Mansell, Naish and Ralphsmith all did pretty well and Collier-Dawkins is becoming a fixture.
Bachar and Jack were down.
Assuming all are able to take the field, Chol or Cameron-Jones in for Houli and Ross.

B Astbury Balta Grimes
HB Broad Vlastuin Short
C McIntosh Martin Chol
HF Rioli Castagna Ralphsmith
F Aarts Riewoldt Lynch
R Nankervis Graham Baker
I/C Collier-Dawkins Mansell Naish and Pickett
Sub Houli.

Give Riewoldt a rest.
put that other guy in everyone is asking fir

Lions have a tall forward line. Daniher, McStay and Erica Hipwood. There's no way we can have Balta playing anywhere but defence this week. But they only play the Big O (who I reckon is an unco waste of space) in ruck with Daniher pinch hitting so I don't think we will bring in extra ruck support this week.

Houli and Mansell found themselves at half forward at times and I'm not sure either of them looked effective there. I wonder if one of them might find themself out of the side? More likely Mansell. Stack for Mansell would work.

Out: Aarts, Ralpsmith, Naish

In: CCJ, Stack, MRJ
I agree with this but dont think Stack will play based on fitness. Hardwick made mention last week that he is still a few weeks away. MRJ is the interesting one.

Aarts could find himself further up the ground like he did last Saturday and MRJ taking his spot as that small forward.

In: MRJ, CCJ
Out: Naish, Mansell

Naish? You’re kidding. He did well and deserves a decent go. MRJ is not ready from what I saw of him.

no-one really deserves to be dropped,

but I'd go

Out: Naish
In: Chol.

Balta's gonna need to be 100% fullback on Daniher, Nank needs support.

I hadn't been expecting to beat Brisbane, thinking we dont have the cattle,

but a review of their form suggests we are reasonable evenly matched without our midfield,

and they have Neale, Lester and Gardiner out. Apart from the Port win, they've been bullying crap opposition; Essendon, Carlton, freo, suns. And they only beat Collingwood by 1 point.

After our stirring win, and the 2nd coming of Bakes, I'm now thinking this one is a toss of the coin.

we really want Rhys Matheson to hold his spot

gonna be a great weekend for the fellas with the whole list in warm sunny Far North Richmond

Of the kids you can only justify dropping Mansell. Not because he hasn't performed, but he's had a solid block of games and it would be good for him to drop back into a less competitive environment and work on his major weakness. In the VFL he needs to draw head-high tackles and make sure Umpires see and pay them.

Though it’s a huge game, it is a little bit of a free hit , so I’d try the 3 headed monster , CJ to join Jack and Lynch, I’d definitely like to see all the kids stay in, imagine what an interstate win would do for them after the win the experienced on Saturday night .

Ruling out the A graders I’d like to see both Stack and Dow come in if ready, if they are too come in I’d say Hugo and Naish would be the obvious outs

Naish deserves another run, keep playing him.

We need a tad more height. Bris is a big side. And Lynch is still not in great touch. CCJ would stretch that shitty defence.
Midfield is where we have our hands full. We assume Prestia is still not right?

CCJ is the only name they will try and fit in. Suspect either Naish or Hugo go to medical sub

im with you mate. I think CCJ would not only help Nank but would also make it easier for Jack and Tom. Mansell could have a rest and leave the other kids in.

CCJ kicked 5 in the Ressies on the weekend.
If you don’t reward that effort, he may as well pack it in

Think it would be a great learning curve for Mansell on Charlie. Frees up Grimes to be the 3rd man interceptor. Something we have missed all year. Reckon Naish will love the Gabba's wide wings. Aarts dropped for CCJ for mine.
