Team selection vs Geelong Cants

don't say that :-(

banged out a quick ladder predictor

Reckon there's a real chance the Saints could fizzle in the back half of the season
and we pick up wins v Norf , Hawks & Saints and struggle into 15th
we need to tank in one of Hawks or Saints game and our % might get us back to 17th
it could be a nail biting last month to the season :-(

Wouldn't surprise me if we get pick 1. I am not confident we beat North, particularly if we keep getting two injuries per week.

The Suns missing finals by one percent and some change is delicious. Could only hack Essington making top four if they went out in straight sets.
Would love to knock off the Suns in the last game and deny them a finals spot.

I always use the Squiggle autotip feature which does about 5000 simulations and some tricky Gaussian analysis to predict the final ladder. In our flag winning years it predicted us making the top four about 8 weeks out each time, it's pretty accurate!

Anyways it says we are safely in the bottom two.

Don't like the look of that ladder at all.

Collingwood, Carlton & Essendon in the top 4 and Geelong at 6.......:vomit

from here to the end of the season it is a bumpy ride for the bottom 4 or 5 teams
finals hopes have melted away , blame games are under way
players want to play and win . its in their DNA , heads drop, player discipline can be very poor
players get sent early for surgery ...
we've seen it all before , been awhile since we were a part of it

if injuries continue 18th could loom large

but if Lynch & Tarranto do return ok and some of our young guys start to build form
wins against Hawks , Saints & Norf are very possible

we might even pull a surprise win "do it for Dusty" in a weeks time

Would have loved the Meatball out to be like this in lieu of (managed).

out: Prestia (Stewart*)

* but he's a lovely guy!

If we play the Roos at Marvel then it is odds on we will lose
We beat them last year, but that was Jack and Trent’s farewell game and at the G. Of course this year it’s at bloody Marvel. We better get good there, because the AFL will probably try and make that our home ground, so they can give our spot at the G to the Blues or the Drugcheats.

"Sydney are clearly the best team in the league and the only team to beat them is the Tigers"

C'mon Pricky. You can think of something better to say...

WE drop Green for plodding graham ?
Why ?
God graham at centre bounces is madness. To slow ,to unaware.
God knows what he brings as a foward flanker.
Bloody good at running 10 feet behind his oppomant

Yeah, why not run him through the vfl for some match practice and hardness..
I hope Steely gets another run again. Give him some pointers to work on, keep his confidence up and let him go again.

Did you not see him give away 20 free kicks to Harris Andrews??
Yes, you must have missed my prior recent posts on MP, but I was thinking of perhaps the most effective, and least damaging, position to play him in. He's hard enough, fast enough and competitive enough in the air, to attempt a match-up on Stewart. It might cost some frees, sure, but if they are stop-plays from down back, less harmful, time for other players to get back on opponents especially if MP makes him go back over the mark.

If there is some rain about it would surprise if Ryan plays. Trezise well suited though and in and Shorty to sub!!!
Except if we don't play Ryan, it means most likely Balta then has to give Nank ruck chop-outs (or Miller?!) which exposes our defence against their KPFs et al.

Not so much. Balta will start forward and run on the ball.
Miller on Hawk, Broad and NV on Cameron .Smith on Stengel .. rising star🌟
