I have no problem with people demanding more from him (performance on field - so far this year, shocking), but people calling for him to be delisted, geez.

I think you have all those spots covered ;D

IMO, i don't think he is in our bottom 10.
I have no problem with people demanding more from him (performance on field - so far this year, shocking), but people calling for him to be delisted, geez.

I think most are calling for us to cut our losses and trade him, not simply delist him, a big difference.

This was in the HUN on Feb 4: http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/richard-tambling-earns-his-stripes-at-last/story-e6frf9jf-1225826533394

Tambling's body also needed healing at the end of last season. He required surgery on both legs to correct compartment syndrome.

"It's where oxygen doesn't get to your feet because of your muscle tightness," he said. "Pretty much through the last couple of years I didn't have any oxygen carrying my blood to my feet. No one knew what it was until we got it tested and I ended up needing major surgery."

The surgery meant he was "pretty much on my back for two weeks", but he's now back to full training.

Why the hell has he been playing then? Showed nothing in pre-season and now we find out its because of this compartment syndrome. If this is indeed the cause of his poor form I just can't understand why the Tigers haven't learnt from the debacle handling of Richo and Cousins injuries last year.

big difference between playing injured and playing with a lack of conditioning.

the issue has been treated, so it comes down to whether or not he's better than the next man out of the team

for most of the year, I'd rather have had the underconditioned Tambling in the team than Hislop, Collins, White, Polo, Dea, Webberley, or Taylor.

Last question ;D. Here read this when you have time, it has all the answers - http://www.puntroadend.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=27886.6060

finally finished reading through 400 pages. still unsure why you think he is mentally weak.
i think this week proved you wrong. he misses and suddenly we are beaten by twice our average losing margin. it is obvious now tambling has been holding us together.

So he is over the syndrome? If it is under-conditioning, then based on his performances I'd rather have Collins, Polo, Dea, Webberley or Taylor in (as either able to give a better result or gain from the experience).

:hihi Surely you jest at Tambling holding us together.

Quite honeslty Brodders I would bet you very rarely go and see live games let alone concentrate on Tambling's game.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Forget where he was drafted for a minute.

Would people be happy, if Richard turned into a forward pocket, who kicked 2-3 each week, layed 6-8 tackles and put on some forward pressure for us.

Maybe its time to accept he isnt a midfielder, and try and solve one of our other problem positions with a guy who clearly has alot of talent, we just need to find a way to get it out of him.

Well said however if another club thought they could turn him into a mid still and offered a decent pick..

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Anyone know if Tambling is actually available this week? Hardwick's pre-game interview on the tv indicated he was not too optimistic.

GPB stop hanging it on Bling, we missed him on Sunday. I'd take him before Farmer and Edwards in the back line.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

GPB you are quite negative, we should get behind the lads.

Yep missed his quality 10 or 11 possessions (his average per game this year). If each of those possessions could have been worth 2 goals we would have won the match. Definitely missed him.

Re: Tambling [Merged]

Any chance that Gold Coast might offer a first round pick for Richie Tambling via the trade period?
