Tambling (merged)

Remember: he played on a big ground today and Freo are slow and unaccountable.

Next week he will play on a small ground that has been a graveyard for us and the Bulldogs are NOT slow.

Re-visit next week.
Did someone just hit the replay button??

Redford - this is a dumb comment. How can you say he's "still too much of a front runner"? Given the Tiges were in front all day, I think based on today's effort we could say everyone was a front runner, except Newman who kicked the first goal. He played some exceptional in and under footy today.

Youve answered you're own question.

Its so good to see Blingers do well, theres no one else in the AFL id rather see do well.

Uh ... no ... what's the basis for your comment ie. that he is STILL a front runner? or do you subscribe to the theory that one player can make a team play better?

took a big step up this week.

he is definately improving and slowly he is coming of age.

i dont think he will have a breakout game but more a breakout string of games and in a few years time he will overtake that other guy and invaluable player.

i think his game has overtakin deledio's now.

bring on the next three weeks.

Er no....his form has been questioned whilst we've been losing...but all of a sudden he's a star when we win ? (Like you're suggesting ?)

Needs consistency. Nobody would argue with that.

Agree

Don't know if he has overtaken Deledio, but each week Tambling is getting better and hopefully by mid season he is showing his critics what he can do.

Agree BLX, some posters here seem to think that Tambling will only have made it once he can be relied upon to turn games. The problem with this paradigm, is that no one player can turn a game. While individual players can do things to inspire their team mates, it's up to their team mates to do something about it. While Richmond has players that continually miss easy goals and easy passes, it will be very hard for players like Tambling to turn a game.

A much improved game by Tambling, now for the consistency. If only all our players could improve as Tambling did today, we'll be playing in September for sure.

Disagree. He was probably better today but Lids was still very good and has been better than Tambling the rest of the year and for the past three years. But hopefully this spirit of competition will help them both reach greater heights.

Good God Almighty could it happen? I've been very worried about Bling.

I think you're right, so far this year he's overtaken Deledio but that's because Lid's has been played out of position. I'd love to see an inside trio of Foley, Bling and even White in a couple of years.

Agree Ridda. But why analyse it this much....our two most prmising younh guns are starting to wind up and all we can do is argue whohas progressed further.
jeez lets just appreciate...celebrate...but please not procrastinate

Hah hah....whilst acknowledging he had a decent game on another thread (and not being his greatest critic either) it seems never the less the premature ejaculators are out in force tonight.

Bling had 18 disposals - hardly earth shattering. Not sure, but I suspect most of them would have come in the second half when it was all over. Even Pattison had more disposals, but I dont hear anyone wrapping him up.

Bling was playing in the VFL last year.

When he strings a season or two together - and has a few good games when the team hasnt done as well on the day - maybye then I'll get as excited as the premature ejaculators are tonight.

Your insatiable love for Pattison clouds your view, Inbredford.

Any action? Yeah, your boyfriend JB had told me that.
