Sydney Stack

More likely the first misstep people outside the club are aware of.

Will be interested to see if the penalties dished out by the club are equitable to both Syd and CJ.

Both contracted until 2021, problematic scenario.
More speculation based on nothing. As others have said, wait until we know before condemning either.

You’ll be happier if you go media-free like several of us have.

What negative press?
Absolutely. Im angry and disappointed about what it sounds like may have occurred, but my emotions arent being inflamed by sensationalist journalists.

Club/AFL will deal with it, Ill read their statements, and Ill move on.

Are you GOD?
No I ain’t
But AFL have got out on a limb for the clubs
Can’t just disappear to a strip club for a few hours then grab a kebab after your leave at 3.30am and get in a punch up
Hardly elite footballers
Spare me

The club has already acknowledged that it was a breach of COVID protocols.
So it's just a matter of how bad it gets from here in.

Is that right? The 7 News shot shows Callum being assaulted in a kebab store or near a kebab store and Syd coming to his aid, after which Syd goes inside to get two more kebabs, because the originals apparently hit the ground. Hardly the actions of two professionals who were publicly breaching Covid rules?

The piece finishes with the note that players are allowed to leave the Hub to get take away food.

Won’t bother reading the thread ,can imagine what’s been said, however my 2 cents , I’ve had a little bit to do with Sydney , yep it’s another silly immature mistake that will probably cost him his AFL career , however I think it’s as simple as he doesn’t have the discipline or mental strength to be an AFL footballer, this certainly dosent make him a bad person, his not a bad lad from my dealings and nowhere near as silly as some of my closest friends at the same age growing up, and most have gone on to be bloody good adults with good careers.

Truly saddens me the predicament Syds got himself in, hopefulily he can get the support his about to need , I really worry for the kid going forward .

I have no doubt Peggy, Benny and Dimma will make the correct decisions moving forward for both the RFC and Syd.

So I wonder what the COVID breach was? The club has admitted in a statement that they did in fact breach AFL COVID protocols. It's getting very murky.

Get off the high horse. They are just people. Geez I'd be stuffed if I'd been subjected to this type of stance as a young bloke.

Yeah I've met him once albeit very briefly. Approached him so my son and his mate could have a photo with him. He could not have been more polite or accommodating. Seems like a nice kid but probably struggles with direction some time.

On face value it is annoying what has happened but truly hope it doesn't cost him his career. That said if they are allowed to go out to get food and weren't at the strip club exactly what protocols have they breached?

I am with Harry. No room for insinuation here. List them or zip it.

Sidebottom breached the *smile* out of protocols. So did buckley. So did port blokes. So did swans kid.

Max penalty was 6 weeks.

Why would it be career ending.

1. Kebabs arent illegal
2. Strip clubs arent illegal

If someone belts you are you suppose to buy them a kebab?

Its unprofessional yes. Its illconsidered. Dumb. But show me a 20 yo bloke who cant find trouble in surfers and ill show you trent cotchin at 20.

Jeez. The lynch mob is way OTT
