Sydney Stack

Surely can't hold his place in the side after that effort. No awareness, fumbling and no urgency to his game.

Only Graham had more tackles for us. But lacking spark, touch and confidence.

His defensive effort has been good since he came back. His flair and skills have disappeared. Will probably stay in, as Castagna and Rioli were worst.

Don't think he can keep his place. We can't carry blokes this year; we need all guns blazing to win it.

I honestly didnt see a bad game.

It wasnt a good game, but didnt think it was that bad.

I think hes working his clacker off,

And it'll click.

I reckon the coaches think this too

It's physical conditioning with him. Hopefully he keeps working to improve this.

I reckon people are underestimating how hard the buckley covid flood is to play.

Who would we say was outstanding tonight?

Id say only the Capt and the VC. And we won.

But youre right

agree - thought he did OK for a poor game. Still not at 2019 levels but you can see he is slowly working through it.

the space the bumbers give teams, and their lack of speed should suit a young Stack.

I wouldn't drop he or Rioli for next week, in Darwin it jus means too much for these blokes to not give there all. Stacks working hard at least. Whaever happened to his super glue hands i will never know.

This counts, effort was there. Earning his wage. Professional, hard hat and lunch pail.

This is Syd Stack, Sydney will appear soon.

It’s just not happening for him is it? If last year’s best form was a ten he’s struggling at a five right now.
Last year's best he was one touch, dynamic, quick, strong, great disposal & with a great leap.
I've been hoping that magic was going to come back but it's still dormant even though I think he's trying hard.
Not sure if it's the ankle, lifestyle or what but he is really struggling to recapture his former self. Maybe he never will?

If we weren't carrying blokes, we would have a two man forward line.
Fair call but I meant that we can't carry blokes from this point on. Need to win at least 4 of the last 5; preferably all 5. Plenty can take Stack's spot; he's fair from irreplaceable in his current form.

He's offered more than Rioli and Castagna since he's come back in.

Can we replace those two, never mind all three?

He's continually chasing tail. Sometimes that's a good thing but with Stack I fear it's because he's second to the ball due to low endurance and speed.
