Sydney Stack

One bad mistake after another.
Lost count how many times he got caught with the ball.
Really badly out of form.
Needs to be dropped

Thought he got a little better. Would persist for another week
At half time I said he needs to be dropped. But in the second half he really had a crack and played with intensity. yeah he had some clangers but at least he showed effort and desire for the contest. He had at least 12 team mates that looked like they didn't want to play tonight and that is unacceptable.

For mine he stays and tries to build on that improved effort next week. There's quite a few in the queue ahead of him; Rioli, Pickett, Graham to name three.

He doesn't look fit.
Everything he did tonight turned to *smile*.
A couple of weeks away from the seniors will do him good.

Id be more worried about our senior players lack of form than bagging a 20yo supplementary selection.

Sorry mate.
I thought it was the Rioli thread.
Im with you. Stack needs a spell
Nah you're not with me Zips. At half time I wanted Stack dropped but he at least showed he wanted to be out there in the second half despite making some mistakes. At least he was trying to make something happen.

Rioli should have been arrested for loitering tonight; as well as last week. He goes out before Stack; as do Graham and Pickett. If Riewoldt wasn't such a great champion of the club he'd be out as well. He gets a reprieve but can't recall him playing 2 such poor games in a row.

Stack kicked more goals for Hawthorn then any actual hawthorn players.
He looks very unfit.
What's the saying? When you start losing your feet your either close to retirement or not fit enough.
He isn't fit.
He was a Gazelle last year, this year he is more like a sloth.

Yes he made plenty of mistakes and you're probably right about his fitness. But give me a player that showed his desire and effort in the second half ahead of a dozen of his team mates who could not have been less interested on the ground tonight.

Lack of desire and effort is unacceptable. There was a lot of that on display tonight and Stack was not amongst them.

I like stack.
I would have stack in the side any day of the week.
But not when he falling and slipping over all the time.
All the mistakes stem from not being game fit.
I've never saw him lose his feet last year. He spent most on the night on his ass or on his knees.
The holding the ball in the first qtr was caused by him not getting back to his feet quickly, he stayed on the ground and dragged the ball in. Thats why he was pinged.
A good hard month on the track, will have him back and firing

Will play next week lifted himself second half when others didn't.

Poor first half but did lift.

Leave him at half back to get him going.
