Still giving us nothing...'cept Cups and Medals

To be fair to some, Matthew Lloyd has been very complimentary to our win.

This why I want Lloyd on the essendrugs board.
He would destroy that club in a few years with his views on football.

Thanks for that tigerflag.

Nearly spat my coffee out when he said this ......

Moreover, while there’s no premiership as of yet, Collingwood have it in spades as well. Just watch the recent ABC documentary Collingwood: Inside Out if you don’t believe me.

What !

Same here! I couldn’t believe he actually wrote that.
Mind boggling

Exactly Space.
We can all see its fake, manufactured, copied and not genuine. Just watch Buckley when things were going bad, really to explode with anger and smash things...

Richmond football club is genuine.
We are the trendsetters !

You could read that comment as the writer poking a bit of fun at Collingwood's expense.

In any case that is how l am choosing to read it at least :D

Interesting when we won our first premiership the broad coverage was:
1. Unique game plan that won us a premiership
2. General happiness for tiger supporters, similar to bulldogs
3. A unique turnaround after a disastrous 16

I think there is some different themes this time:
1. A very good premiership team with genuine stars
2. An extremely well run, best-in-class football club
3. Genuine fear that the Richmond juggernaut has arrived and will be hard to be displaced.

I reckon 2020 we'll see something different. 2 out of 3 and a prelim loss in between. There's no denying we are a level above everyone else. Next year will be all about us as the media punters don't want to be seen as wrong. But expect a year of "how do you beat Richmond".

The weasel on sen this morning bought us up again.

Sort of. They did say that in Lynch's case it was the right thing. Served his time in a struggling club and moved for a chance to play for a club and environment that matches his ability. For Lynch, it's a good thing. While we were mentioned in the example, it wasn't a dig at us.

But they said the AFL expected free agency to have gun players take more $$ to go to weaker clubs, not go to stronger clubs for less money. i.e. Jack R should have gone to GCS to play with Lynch for more cash.

I don't like the way the whole player movement ecosystem now lets any contracted 2 year player demand a trade to a destination club. That's taken it to the extreme and not a good thing.

Pretty ordinary or delusional of the AFL to think good players would move to lesser clubs.

As long as their articles keep prefixing us as 'dual premiership coach' or 'dual premiership captain/player' or 'reigning premiers' , the oppo fans can suck it all in.

The AFL only ever think about getting more $$ out of the game so only natural they assume everyone thinks the same

Dwayne Russell still a huge wrap for us....

Just said on trade radio that......
Geelong definitely would have beaten Richmond had Hawkins played.
West Coast were the best team in it this year... :rotfl1
