Then why is he telling us where he’s going.
Do rookies become delisted free agents?

If they dont accept a 3rd year on Rookie list , they then become a delisted free agent

Didnt we promote Stengle to the main list?

Still listed under the rookie section in the RFC site

My understanding is that 2nd year rookies become DFAs if they don't take another contract. My only caveat is whether that includes rookies who decline a senior list contract and, if so, whether we have offered him one. If all we are willing to offer is a 3rd year rookie contract, he is definitely a DFA

There’s my thing I learned today. It makes sense.

Crows and tigers list managers are brokering a deal so I’m surprised there’s talk Stengle is going home for free. Sam Murray was traded for a pick as a rookie...

Wasn't Mumford a rookie when he was traded to Sydney. Rookies can be traded but they cant trade onto a rookie list. They must be on the main list at their destination club I think.

Rookie's can definitely be traded. Will Serokowski from Hawthorn to North is another.

What Bris has pointed out in regards to years on the rookie list and having a current contract looks to be the contention.

Yes, they definitely end up on the main list.

Early this season I thought he definitely warranted a game but kept getting overlooked. His form tapered as the year went on.
The football dept. no doubt have their reasons for not giving him a game but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was frustrated due to lack of opportunity & that's why he went off the ball.
I'll watch Tyson's preogress with interest because there's no doubt he can play. Excellent evasiveness & goal sense. Biggest question is whether he can cope with the pace & endurance required at the elite level.
Best of luck to him. Enjoyed watching him play immensely in the VFL.

yeah all the very best to him.

In answer to your big question Oldy, when your 172/72, you just gotta be quick.

and he aint.

all the best Tyson. Played an absolutely brilliant gamebreaking Q in his game in the seniors win over Port over there, really stuck in my memory. I remember Ruccuito commentating being very impressed as well. Did nothing the next week and that was it, but something to hang his hat on.

Yes i wish him well too.

I think his game would be more suited with two talls we'll have next season. It'll be interesting to see how he goes at the Crows with there taller forward line.

He will have an excellent mentor in Eddie Betts. Given our mosquito fleet it is probably a smart move.

Reid and Hartley have been discussing this trade. I think we need to get a player in for this trade. Cam Ellis Yolman or Matt Signorello would be available. Probably both depth but we will need some depth after the current clean out. CEY is a beast and as an inside mid would be handy. Signorello is untried but has done well in the SANFL.
