Sports Quiz

Ok, here is my attempt at an interesting question that is more likely to be solved by a sports mind than google.

What fact makes the 1977 grand final more likely to be a quiz question than the 1948 grand final?

Very good I forgot about that. Not the answer I was looking for which has more to do with the result.

Televised? Was it the first GF to be televised in colour?

I think 1975 was the first in colour.

It it is more recent and was televised in full whereas there doesn't seem to be any footage of the '48 Grand Final, hence it is more likely to be the subject of a trivia question. Don't think that is what Bill is looking for though.

It was the closest the Pies got to a flag since the war :rofl (and we all know how much the wobblers like talking about missed opportunities :vomit2 ).

A heap more people got to see it b/cause of TV ???

This is the most esoteric question on this thread !!!

No apology Hanshin, it is a deliberate attempt to create a general knowledge question rather than a google question.

It is something I remember from that weekend so thought others might. Think draws.

All yours JB. I think it is still the only draw in an NRL grand final. The odds of a NRL and AFL draw in the same year are around 6000:1.
