When Greg debuted for South Australia with Ian in the team, the scoreboard only took their surnames, so the scorers put a I at the end of Ian's name and II at the end of Greg's name, so that is how he is known as Chappelli. Since my question was vague, I'll give the next question to Lebo.

I heard that they used to write the surname with the first letter of their given name next to their surname on the scoresheet (eg Wallace T, Richardson M, Tivendale G) and someone mistakenly pronounced it as an Italian name which was funny enough to become a nickname later.
