If the former, will guess that it's that all made their debut in 1993.

No to the latter.  The original question was slightly misleading (or badly written), there is also one other player who also shares the common connection but I left his name out because I thought it might make the question too easy.  Anyway, the fourth player is Ryan O'Connor.  No other player in the history of the game, past or present can be lumped into this group for the specific reason I am after.

They've all won the Alex Jesaulenko Medal for the best player for the Allies
