Yep, SH had a good, not great, game. Now of course he needs to build on it.

Who was that man? Stan Hamster the discount ruck man.

Pleasantly surprised by his game against GWS. Flogged an underdone Mummy, but more importantly showed he could actually play as a footballer. Got into the right spots around the ground, clunked a few marks, harassed n bustled and looked more like he knew what to do with the ball in hand.

Pressure will obviously ramp up again over the next few weeks, hope he's another that's found himself a little form n self belief.

Agree with most that he had a good game against an underdone Mummy..

I thank him for his service and i worry when we get some from other clubs like Houli (who i rate), Grigg etc that we promise them games..

When Big Ivy is back i just cant find a place for SH.. Would much prefer Griff be lefy in their to develop and he is a better footballer NOW with heaps of upside..

Even if SH was to improve we have some real big man talent so i just cant find a place for him.. I understand the recruiting of him although 2 years would have been smarter than 3!

Maric was arguably the best in the VFL yesterday.

He had a slow start and I didn't think he looked 100% fit in the first quarter but he played out the game well.

Loved Hampson's work around the ground yesterday - maybe practice holding his baby helped his marking skills?

Interesting dilemma on what we do against the Bombers.

If Maric comes in, then who goes out?

Unfortunately more than likely they will drop the Griffinator for the Eevan. Maybe they should let the Eevan keep building fitness in the magoos while allowing the Hamster n Griffinator to continue developing. NAH, not gunna happen.

If Maric comes back Griff will be the unlucky one, simply because Hamp is a better tap ruck. It will be a shame though, as when hes not rucking he will be resting forward, and Griff is a far better option forward.

thought Hampson played his best game this year.
makes for a dilemma when Maric is ready.
shame the 2 of them are not great 'forwards'. i'd keep Griffiths and drop Vickery.

I'd rather play just Ivan, as opposed to two dedicated ruckmen. Hampson doesn't offer enough forward to play 2 imo. We badly miss Maric's influence around the ground.

Hampson should be the player to go when Maric is fit. He can't mark isn't mobile & can't go forward. Shouldn't have recruited him in the first place.

Club has got itself in a nice old mess. It will keep having to play Hampson to justify its recruitment and contract of him, even though we have to keep playing Griffiths. Vickery is the other one to drop - he should be the one to be fighting for the second ruck spot - won't ever be a permanent forward.

Maybe Jack wasnt the only one to get the Dimma blow torch this week ;)

Try the reverse.
Houli has said on the site that cannot be quoted that the Tigers reverted to the game plan of old.

Have to drop Hampson surely when the Ivan returns. I hope Hampson isn't one of the untouchables like Chaplin, Grigg, Houli and sheds. We need to keep putting games into the big Griff.
Same as when Newman becomes available surely Dea or McDonna won't make way. Testing times ahead for our selectors who I believe have been shoddy at best this year.

I'm hoping that Hampson was one of the many players who should have been given the "What for" from Hardwick after the Melbourne game.

What I'm not hoping is that the reason he played so well was because he knew he was playing against an opposing team who was getting smashed which increased his confidence to the point it greatly increased his ability.

I really want to see him perform on Saturday night.

He didn't do too badly against Mumford which will hopefully hold him in good stead against Ryder and Bellchambers.

A lot of hope there but the fact is we need him to perform.

Maric shouldn't be rushed back - I understand that he was pretty much BOG for the VFL team but he did look tired out there, even in the 1st qtr. He battled like we know he can.

I think we play it safe with Ivan for this week and bring him in against North Melbourne the week after.

Will be an interesting selection committee this week.

I thought the big mummy might have got hold of him Saturday but the reverse happened!
