Really hope he kicks 40 this year, apart from Riewoldt we haven't had a player do that since Brad Ottens. X-factor personified.

Matty Rogers clone

He's so smart, hip, shoulder, hand or foot. He can shrug tackles, break lines. He's lifted his work rate, his defensive work. He can mark like a tall on the wing. And like Ablett in the forward line. That goal yesterday was Daicos class. (And GotY!) His set-shot figures are history in the making. And we are all now quite certain of his clutch capabilities.

If he can produce more of all that he's a star.

Yes they are Jack.

Of the genuine forwards it's:
Alex Fasolo & Cyril Rioli @ 80%
Jeremy Cameron @ 76.6%
Jack Watts & Kurt Tippett @ 75.6%
Sam LLOYD @ 74.4%
Paul Puopolo @ 73.7%
Peter Wright 73.1%
Steven Motlop, Matthew Wright & Matt Taberner @ 72.7%
Tom Lynch @ 71.8%

This year he's something like 20.3 or some such, tim.

On the broader issue of players who kick goals not coming under the same scrutiny as those who miss them (rightly) - or the just kick the *smile* goal principle - if Lloyd had kicked 12.11 from set shots he'd be under the pump IMO. His very good kicking makes him a good footballer.

On the other side of that Vickery just kept missing the *smile* goal and now he's gone.

That's good company! He's a ripper. When is DR going to get him signed up again?

But, but but...

He's not a skilled aerialist!!!

He'll severely main or kill someone...

If he takes marks, then he is not bringing the ball to ground. Breaks team rules.

I've said it before, the harder the shot, the more likely he is to kick it. The only time I'm nervous is when he has a set shot soda. I've counted 4 absolute sodas set shots missed this year. But when he took that mark after the siren, I wouldn't have wanted it with anyone else.

Agree snakes, Mr Cool best set shot at the club by a country mile.
Yep, according to this article (albeit from May) Sam was ranked 8th in the best set shot at goal (for players who've had over 50 shots) @ 68.8% accuracy (to go with his overall accuracy of 74%.

8 possessions and no goals for Sam against the Hawks. Probably his worst game of the season against the league leaders.
He still remains uncontracted to my knowledge. With 29 goals I expect he'll get another year but would want to finish the season off well.
Might be on the table too.

Pretty typical for the forwards in that game. No supply, and botched shots on goal when they got them.

Wasn't his fault Riewoldt had just about the worst player of his career. Jack and Sam could of had a snooze in the forward line last week.

No way will he be traded. Of course if we haven't signed him up and we offer him pittance then yes he may seek greener pastures.
