Russia Invades Ukraine

Ok hang on let me get this right.

So Putin was on the border and you say that the West / China / Ukraine needed to "negotiate" with him (we can't call it appeasement because we don't know what he wants), then say that your suspicion (like most) is that Putin wanted to unite the Motherland , which would have meant that 1 of his demands in your "negotiation" would have been the validation of the elections in the Donbas and Crimea (you can claim that you don't know what he would have wanted but then say thats what you suspected anyway as above - but lets not call it appeasement right).

Guess what, this is continue to follow the appeasement outcome with the Nazis before WW2. Ie. we promise we'll just take the Sudenteland, but then when you stop watching and you celebrate your "negotiation", well lets just take the rest, like the Nazis did with Czechslovakia right? Then what, Ukraine falls, and we the world waits until what, they invade Estonia next? Romania? Latvia?
Hey, you have just described part of Trump’s foreign policy

Of course, Trump would remove funding to Ukraine, weaken or withdraw from NATO and Russia would roll on in to Kyev, install a puppet government like in Belarus, and would start sizing up Poland or Finland. Happy Days for Mr Putin.

Project Ukraine has failed and Georgia isn't interested in another proxy war. Putin and his mates are reforming the world order as countries line up to join BRICS. 36 countries are currently attending the BRICS summit in Russia which goes against the narrative that Russia is isolated. The dollar is about to get dumped and strong alliances and partnerships between "rougue" states are being developed. Unfortunately for the West they are gonna have to work with countries like Russia China and Iran as equals going forward instead of dictating terms via sanctions, and the threat of war. It's time for Australia to stand on it's own 2 feet and see what's going on around the world, especially in Asia. Most people can see through the lies and fear mongering that Putin is going to invade Europe.

Failed from whose perspective? Are you in on this Putin is just misunderstood nonsense?

Why does the west have to work with Russia, China, & Iran?

I know this thread has gone completely gaga in recent times but here's a good piece on why Putin didn't immediately invade the rest of Ukraine after he "liberated" the Crimean peninsula and waited until he did. Hint: its nothing to do with that admirer of Putin, Xi, and Kim, that great strongman of peace, Donald Trump.

Hmm. Wasn’t Barry Obama POTUS when Putin took over Crimea and Donbas in February 2014.
Then the Biden/Harris Administration was in power when Putin launched this main attack on Ukraine February 2022.

Yet it’s Trump that gets mentioned time and time again. Particularly by those suffering from TDS as we saw in the Us Election thread.
You all sound like little Kamala’s…Ukraine= Trump, Russia= Trump, Putin=Trump, China=Trump, Nth Korea=Trump ;)
How about Biden/Harris? What is prolonging this war?
Where is the UN? Where are the other UNSC members? A lot spoken about in the Middle East. Not much happening with all the death and destruction in this region. A many times more deaths, injured, homeless. But hardly a peep, except to somehow pin this on Trump.
Talk about double standards and hypocrisy.

The US strategic move to shut Russia out of Europe has backfired and forced Russia to create strong partnerships with other countries which has created a collective sphere of influence in Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America. A new BRICS currency is replacing the dollar as the trading currency and a new financial / monetary system is being formed.

Interesting words from Biden back in 1997

Not sure the BRICS currency is about to replace the USD any time soon.

Yes first it was Barry Obama. Now it’s Biden/Harris.
Merkel and co signed the Minsk 2 Agreement. Then later they made it known if was only done so it bought Ukraine time to bolster their defenses and rearm. All those $billions flowing on mainly to the Democrat puppet masters, the armament industry.
What a farce. And still it continues to this day. In the Ukraine and in the Middle East.
And the dummies don’t grasp the enormity of backing these scumbags who are only interested in the kickbacks. Not humanity. Talk about be dumb and blind.

Obama/Biden, Merkel, Macron and co.all complicit in appeasing Putin by allowing him to take over the Crimea and Donbas regions. They did sfa. Appeasement? They gave that to Putin.

Coincidently Putin didn’t extend his reach while a Trump was POTUS. As soon as Sleepy Joe was snoring at the Resolute desk, back he went again. Barry Obama and Sleepy Joe and Kamala all in the thrall of their warmonger masters and lobby groups

*edit, but it’s Trumps fault. Even when he’s not in power and others are. TDS at its finest.

All the articles of Putin now getting Nth Korean troops in to help fight the war in Ukraine.
Now Sth Korea offering aid to Ukraine.
Will other countries offer troops as well? Is this now going to escalate?
Sanctions aren’t working. China, Nth Korea, Iran still cooperating with Russia. BRICS now gathering momentum.

The UN is totally useless in these situations. Two of the most adversarial countries Russia and China are Permanent Members of the UN Security Council. Why? It’s an absolute farce when the whole world knows these 2 countries (amongst others) fund terrorist organisations and dictatorial regimes.

Apart from departments that look after Foreign Aid, the UN is useless. A bloated, corrupt bureaucracy. The budget could and should be used in countries where food, shelter, medicine is needed. Spend it there.

I would argue the US funds more terrorist organisations than those 2 countries put together - ISIS, Azov Nazis, PKK, Israel etc.

There's nothing the UN can do to stop the superpowers.

Look at the nations getting in on BRICS, and you don't think so?

China, Russia, India, Brazil, Iran.

While I think the USD needed to go, this isn't what I thought would happen. But when you lock countries out of things, and sanction for no good reason, this is what you get.

Well as I don’t know the full extent to who supports which groups, I wouldn’t argue that point Harry.
I was going to add the US. How many regime changes have they been responsible for?
I know they fund Azov and others, whether they are designated as terrorise groups or not.
Trump was vocal that Obama and Hilary Clinton were the founders of ISIS. So was RFL Jr and others.

No it’s carte blanch for them.
The UN is obsolete. Its founding was from good intentions, but now all it does is take money from where it’s needed most. Corruption is rife through nearly every department.
They could disband most of the UN departments and save tens of $millions if not $billions. Just properly fund an international Aid organisation. Proper oversight of purchasing/donations of material. Ensuring it gets where it’s needed without any graft or skimming off the top.

Can't remember what it was called, but there was a mob way back when that was a forerunner of the U.N. It was pretty much a bloated bureaucracy n useless as tits on a bull, so they dismantled it n invented a super fancy United Nations. Which rapidly became about 1000 times bigger, 1000 times more expensive n 1000 times as *smile* useless.
