I watched the Pies game today with a mate who is a Pies supporter.

I could not believe how poor their basic skills were today.

The Swans were off their game in the 1st qtr., but once they sort of got it together (cause to be honest they hardly got out of 1st gear) the Pies players absolutely crumbled skills wise.

The Swans were off their game in the 1st qtr., but once they sort of got it together (cause to be honest they hardly got out of 1st gear) the Pies players absolutely crumbled skills wise.

They are focusing on defence, which is fair enough for a rebuilding team. For a quarter and a half they denied the Swans any space on the outside. Swans turned the pressure up and the kids started making errors.

They're in full Brendon Bolton mode, defend as though your life depends on it and try to pinch the game at the end. Didn't work very often for Carlton.
