Their speed and pressure has definitely impressed. A contender with most components in place now. Now, they look like a true premiership favourite. I don't want Scumwood or Boringbourne to win, so I'll back the Paddle Pops.
But funny how the southern teams like RFC go up there and have to play the Qld teams at their HGs in their conditions, whether that means heat, humidity, heavy dew, tropical rainstorm.I didn't watch the game, but looked in on the scores every now and again, and also looked at the stats.
At the end of the game:
Most Disposals: Carlton
Most Kicks: Brisbane, but very close
Most Handballs (or at least throws not called): Carlton
Inside 50s: even
Most Contested Possessions: Carlton
Least Turnovers: Carlton
Higher Score: Brisbane
We should be worried about Brisbane, Fagan might have learned his lesson, stats matter little when the scoreboard says the opposite. They might get somewhere at this rate.
We'll see how they go outside in Melbourne though.
DS
What's with Robinson? He is wearing a Brisbane jumper
He retired last year.Played more games for Brisbane didn't he.
And Grigg played more games for us than Carlton. He retired last year.
You don't see Houli or Astbury in the crowd with there 3 medals wearing there old Richmond jumper.
And I'm pretty sure Houli played more games for us then Essendon.
And Mark Poole played more games for us then GeelongAnd Grigg played more games for us than Carlton.
We may pass em.Beyond Blues have the Dogs and Pies next. Then Swans at the SCG followed by Melbourne.

Gee v St K 2009. Round 13 both teams undefeatedHas the telstra dome ever had a good game played on it? Because I can't remember 1
The Big O doesn’t get beaten often.Their speed and pressure has definitely impressed. A contender with most components in place now.
Could be because that is Carlton’s HG. They only get a few at the mcg so why would they waste it (financially) on an interstate team. But funny how the southern teams like RFC go up there and have to play the Qld teams at their HGs in their conditions, whether that means heat, humidity, heavy dew, tropical rainstorm.
They come down here and get an indoor, roofed stadium - no wind, no rain, no cold.
And, in our case, not even getting to play GCS at our home. That must be part of equalisation. And it sucks!
Heh heh heh. Beyond Blues fans booing the team at 3/4 time, walking out during the last quarter and going ballistic on call-in radio last night.
And it’s only gonna get tougher from here !
