Round 8 other games

Hannan what an absolute coconut.
What type of kick was that?
Even if he did mark in play, it would've be a very low chance from there.
But it's Melbourne what do you accept?

Are the top 2 kids in the draft from Adelaide or something.

Geez they have been given some leeway this year seemingly as we have been written off with no chance whilst in the top 8.

NitNat just his usual 4 possession half.
What a gun.
Imagine turning up to work getting 50k a week for doing bugger all.
Life must be good NitNat.
Nicnat will be the difference this year zips. Huge influence on games, you really need to open both eyes.

Earlier in the year the umpires were calling "one arm pinned" and a bounce when players were tackled by the arm. Now they appear to be rewarding the tackler, which i think is correct.
Only when they feel like it. It's a complete lottery, its like ruck infringements, nobody knows who wins it until the umpire calls the name of the side.

If a player has an armed pinned and they are on the ground and they let the ball go is that a free? Or is that considered a genuine attempt to dispose of it?

If their teammate come up and taks the ball out of their hands (often happens in stoppages) is that an illegal disposal?

A mid-season interpretation changes 100% based on the whingeing of a frustrated coach? What a way to run the biggest sport in the country.

As a posted earlier in this thread, a very costly (and unnecessary) loss on Fri night
These losses are just part of this season along with the draw with the Pies. Be better if they didn't happen but the old saying "bad kicking is bad football" will always be true. When we are playing well we are very accurate in front of goal, making best use of fwd50 entries. So that's our challenge...to play better then we'll deserve to be higher up the ladder instead of 9th again (if the cats win).

Hell - to think one loss cud hurt so much. If Cats win which is likley we have gone from 4 to 9 in one round. God its a tight season and can not afford stupid losses like the GWS.. And Jack's kick against the scum which left us with a draw..... How much does that hurt now.

I would say yes to the first and no to the second.

Actually think it's an improvement on the early season. Making a pretence of batting at the ball was a bigger blight on the game than the occasional very harsh call we're seeing now.

Clubs are dealing with players not keen on staying in the hubs in different ways.
We justed allowed Houli & Edwards to stay home.
Collingwood have gone with the player is "injured".
Last week, Penderbury came out and said he might miss games and return back to Melbourne to be his wife and baby.
6 days later 'penderbury is to miss at least 4 games due to Quad strain"
Penderbury hasn't missed a game in 34 years and all of sudden he is out for the next month. Yeah right.
It wouldn't be a good look for a Collingwood captain to flee the hub...
Wc due to the whinging seemed to have the next 8 games at Optus stadium. Why???
They stayed on the hub for 5 weeks not 5 years. Port after one game at home are heading north again.
No more games in NSW. We played the last one there. Sydney is playing GWS in perth.
It's bullshitt.

When he's tapping like that their whole midfield grows 3 extra legs.
Yep and many of those taps seemed to go straight to a WC mid who was on the move with time to deliver. Both Nicnat and Grundy had 24 hitouts but Nic was (38% Adv), Grundy (21%).
Soldo had 38 hitouts (26%) and Chol 7 (29%) both often tapping it straight to Giants mids. We failed to take advantage of Soldo's dominance in getting his hand on the footy. They must work out how to fix it fast.

I like your Pendles conspiracy theory but it would have more impact if it happened near the end of the game rather than during the warm up.
