Round 8 other games

Watching eagles today wow they have always been a good kicking team but geez they don't always bomb into fwd 50 like us, continually looking for the best option. And on top of that, they kick straight at goals.

McQualter our midfield coach surely must instruct our mids to lower their eyes. McRae our fwd coach gotta get the boys on their bike not waiting for the hot potato ball coming in. Us supporters can see that bombing into fwd 50 doesn't work. Opposition players clogging up space so we need to play smart start hitting up targets 35-45m out. Dogs I have noticed they do that hit up their teammates just inside their fwd 50 when they can see closer to their goals is flooded. They would rather have a shot from inside 50 than concede the ball easily from opposition players having more numbers behind the ball.

Healy talking about how Melbourne made a PF in 2018 and how well they’ve recruited since. Three weeks ago he was whining that they’d won 5 out 27 games since that game

These dipshits just swing whatever way the breeze is going

Absolute goose.
Don't watch OTC, he will blow his load after WC big win.
Nit Nat is the best.

Who do we want to win this one?

If the go deez win then they start getting ahead of themselves again which always ends well, and will at the same time stop the pundits circle jerking for 5 minutes about the Lions.

But watching Melbourne lose like Collingwood and Carlton is always enjoable.

Conflicted.

Quotes from there site
"He isnt worth million"
"He dosen't take the game seriously"
"We could've used the money to get Cameron"

Suddenly you're quoting Pies supporters as gospel. Without Grundy Pies are nothing. They don't need Cameron, they have Cox.

Melbourne sensing a kill here. Physical approach is unsettling some of the Lions.

Brisbane are exactly like Port they carrying on like the have won a flag.
Port will jumping around last week.
Only after beating Carlton.
Pity we are shitt this year we wouldve broken records this year if we were in 2019 September form.
Its gone now.
We are going to watch a team win it, when we all know that we would've pantsed them if the season wasn't interrupted

This was considered an "optional extra" to our repertoire over last three years as if straight kicking was not possible If we wanted to play the Richmond way.

TBH I think you misunderstand the issue we have at the moment. Its not our kicking for goal thats the issue, its the ball movement and therefore where that ball movement allows us to take our kicks at goal from. We have been very good over the last few years of moving the ball well and enabling a set shot invariable within 30-35m of goal. Its been clear that we haven't been getting as deep this year.

Its also a fallacy that we don't necessarily kick well for goal. Last season we were ranked 3rd in the AFL for conversion %.

The stats that matter and really show the impact for us are below. Rank is in brackets.

Score Conversion
2017 - 51.8% (13th)
2018 - 52.2% (11th)
2019 - 54.3% (3rd)
2020 - 48.6% (16th)

Scores per Inside 50
2017 - 45.8% (14th)
2018 - 44.9% (8th)
2019 - 42.5% (12th)
2020 - 39.1% (13th)

The key is still that our ball movement has not been as good as we have been in the past. Our kicking inside 50 has not been at the same level and therefore we have dropped further. We have generally needed more inside 50's because of our relatively messy kicks inside 50 (and we are still getting repeat inside 50's) but this year has got significantly worse.

We wont agree
But i would never give a Ruckman a million bucks
He might win hit outs and take marks around the ground and slap crap ruckmen at footscay but he isnt Fyfe, Martin or Bomtoetelly
MATCH WINNERS.

They lost by 10goals today.
10 possessions 2 marks 25 hit outs.
Outstanding

Don’t worry about Melbourne
They have Petracca.
Twice as good as Dusty Martian.
