Round 8 - other games

What's clear is that the Blues players aren't trying. It's a mutiny.
That said I don't think Mick's the problem but you can't sack the team.
They're a complete basket case and the club's longer term future is under a cloud.
Fans are dropping off like flies. The carcass is rotting.
:partyfest :birthday :bdaygrin :pooh :rotfl.
Got some respect for old MnM but apart from that must admit I'm very impressed with the job Carlscum has done on itself in recent years. Amazed that they could actually follow a similar trail to self destruction as the one we blazed so many years ago. Fools of the highest order.

If they are as dysfunctional as it seems at the moment, I can see a poor coach selection coming up.

Will they go club legend or former premiership coach this time?

Does Laidley want to coach again? He'd be their best bet as interim coach for now.

What are people's thoughts re next week against the Swans.

A 100 + loss could spell the end for Mick?

I reckon he'll be gone on during Monday.

They have been on that trail to self-destruction for a good ten years, maybe even dating back to their 1995 flag, after which they basically allowed Parkin to choose his own successor. Once the wheels fell off a few years later, it became a Masterclass in Richmond-style bad decision-making. The untimely sackings of Brittain and Ratten, the ill-fated coming and going on Pagan, now mirrored by Malthouse's sorry tale. In between, there have been the Fevola nonsense, poor recruiting, salary cap breaches, the occasional Messiah, whether it be Richard Pratt, Chris Judd, Micky, Denis, SOS or Even Jeannie Pratt.

Richmond wrote the manual in 1982. Carlton have turned it into a best-seller that would make Harold Robbins proud.

Don't worry about the blues.
I'm sure next year we will read how they passed us.

Yep, back in '78 I wrote these cheating pr!cks off when after 6 rounds they were 1-5 and had gone thru Ian Stewart and old Serg as coaches. ;D

Didn't last very long, Jezza took over and things went back to normal for them (cheating, lying, stealing, poaching, winning) :'(

I heard Bruce macainniny on the broadcast last night saying "next friday night, Sydney and Carlton ..looking forward to that one". I said to myself at the time "why?"
On reflection now I think I am looking forward to it myself. Nothing like a humiliating defeat of the scum on a Friday night to help set up an enjoyable weekend

Geez why would any young player want to leave GWS right now. They've got a dynasty brewing.

Stylo agree. Looking ok GWS.

Players will want to stay at least another 5 years and see of a flag comes their way.

Still there are no guarantees. If some of the young players get thrown godfather $ , injuries loss of form and back in the back.

Besides that it's a pretty good game to watch - GWS v Crows. GWS have come on in leaps and bounds this year no doubt but that's what will eventually happen when you get so many top picks.

maybe the change of coach had something to do with it as well

GWS finished up blowing the Crows off the park. Scary stuff. They've certainly sailed past us. :-\

How are we going to trade for this year's Brownlow Medalist , we may have to settle for Daingerfield or WHE instead .
Dylan Shiel another outstanding game today .

I dunno why any of their guns would want to leave now.
