Round 6 other games

Geez are they talking up the Druggies or what.

The Kangas are close to approaching train wreck status.

Any decent side would be on top of the Bombers tonight.

Brown and Campbell are dead set liabilities tonight.

Sideshow cant wait to line yup against the Tigers next week he'll probably get 5 free kick goals in the first half.
Had a squiz at thier draw thus far, They beat a flat pies, tho if Pies could hit a target fwd of centre they win that, thier other wins are Syd/Freo/Norf & they managed a loss to Carlton which takes some doing. Thier draw will get much harder from here.

Won't get a first rounder, unless Stkilda or Melbourne are interested..
Has he kicked a goal outside of the Docklands? Im serious
Norf have thier usual $1.5m laying around they may as well extend him as they won't get anyone else.
Brown easily gets more free kicks than any other fwd in the game. Imagine how many Goals Jack would kick each yr if he got the same free's Brown gets....

Tonight they bombed long into thier fwd 50 & let Essendoom stroll our of thier back 50 with ease. If they do that next week (as they did last week also) our backs will get leather poisoning & we'll be off to the races from there.

After going all-in and fielding the oldest-ever team in 2016, only to blow up after a 9-0 start, North haven't invested nearly enough in development to get back to the top. But then they famously don't bottom out, and probably can't afford to.

Still think they're dangerous next week. They bullied us last year without some of our leaders.
And looking at the last 4 years, only carlton GC Brissy Dogs Swans and Freo have played more kids than us.
If we consistently get 100+ games into the younger brigade each year its a significant long term boost

He isn't better then Marty McGrath

That was a period where we were drafting young Aboriginal lads with talent but who were unable to manage or adapt to the disciplines, demands and rigours associated with elite level footy often away from their home states and families.

The academy and a new direction of the club has allowed the boys and academy kids to flourish at Tigerland.

Credit to the club the academy and the clubs leaders because it is no easy feat to create a club environment that allows many Aboriginal lads the opportunity to grow as footballers and young men and be comfortable in some cases a very ong way from their home.

Same goes for the youngsters at the academy and the kids that visit from the top end and Interstate communities for excursions and experiences.

Creating a strong bond with the Tigers outside of Victoria also.

Theres been a few great Indiginous Tigers over the journey but I cant remember a time where the RFC had as many senior Aboriginal players on its list at one time tbh especially all within the team at once which is very close to happening and then adding in the impending arrival of Jnr soon also.

Exciting times for the RFC, things have changed a lot in a few years.

I’ll ask the obvious.... is the rutten/caracella the finals formula.... there were some very similar patterns and processes on show last night.... even to the point of a shaved head-bearded chap streaming of a HB and 2nd link to forward 50

Their "shaved head-bearded chap" is a poor facsimile, just like their game plan.

I dunno, I reckon Saad is beginning to progress and mature nicely.... being a lot more predictable to the team... prior... yeah, really fast chaos

Bairdy, let's see what he does against better teams, when they are put under greater pressure.

Their key men are Goldstein (32), Higgins(32), Tarrant (31), Cunnington(29), Zeibell(29).

There isn't much coming up in replacements either.

Lots of similar one paced types Hall, Ahern, Dumont, Anderson Tyson through the middle and Williams, McDonald, MacMillan and Atley down back.

Simpkin, Thomas, Taylor and Zurhaar are likely types but there just isnt enough coming through at Arden Street.

Polec and Pittard were not the best additions and are too flakey hence the Kochies flicked em both.

Durdin and Garner are injury plagued and Mason Wood has fallen from form and favour.

They lack dynamism in their footy and across the Park.

yet they still manage to beat us ..............go figure
You know that old saying that for some minnow sides, the really good powerful teams are their Grand Final, that’s what we are for #lolnorf. Our Grand Final is the actual Grand Final.

Can people chill on Essendon.
They might be 4-1 but this is a side that finds ways to lose.
Good sides don't lose to Carlton. Not why sure why they keep on referring to the game in hand either because Melbourne has a good record against them.

They also spent all game keeping Norf in it who are struggling themselves. Do that against decent teams & they'll be steamrolled

North are in struggletown. Simpkin is their best player, shame for us that the NGAs didn't kick in a year earlier.

If we can't beat North next week, I'm not sure we'll ever beat them again. They are useless, slow, bomb the ball in, no smalls in their forward 50. At times it looked like a defensive training drill for Essendon, kill the initial contest and then rebound, then rinse repeat.
Just watch them work on those mistakes and fire up to play us for their one good game...they often do. But if Cunnington and Ziebel don't play, then we should win.
