This. Rule changes or interpretations should be made only to reduce the number of rules. The AFL are making it more and more difficult for the umpires to adjudicate the game.

I hate to dwell on history, but to this day I still don’t understand how Dangerfields hit on Vloss in a GF was not even looked at. Not even looked at! Marlion would have got 10 years prison time for that hit.

umpiring abysmal, decided the game, but Brisbane didn't deserve to win. Too many half arsed efforts, too few players having a genuine go. Stand rule doesn't apply to Geelong apparently, Hawkins unbelievable, the anti-Pickett/ Lynch. Gets so many non-frees and gets away with so many blatant infringements. Particularly bad tonight but always the way.
